I'm pretty new to crafting my own props and creating costumes for cosplay. I will be mentioning some references and was wondering if I could have some handy advice from all of you experts.
I've been watching youtube videos on how to make paper swords, as the convention I'm attending will be pretty strict (or assuming most conventions are this strict) on materials concerning weapons.
Has anyone tried Youtube's Returacan's method of crafting paper weapons? They're excellent. If not do you have a method I can try? I'm trying to make a traditional two-handed katana blade for a Yu Narukami cosplay I'm doing this year.
Secondly I was wondering how one would go about modifying shoes with the same stiches that Yu has. Here is a googled picture reference. I have some ideas about how to go about this, but I'm sure there are probably better methods.
