The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword COSPLAY Help!

Hello ~ I posted this in another section the other day, forgetting that there was a section for Legend of Zela (Silly me) So I decided to repost it here in hopes that maybe someone could me.

I'm cosplaying Zelda from Skyward Sword in a few months for Anime Boston. I'm currently trying to find her brown boots

As well as good white leggings close to what she wears.

Oh! And good places for contacts? I need to find blue contacts like hers as well.

Thanks!

For her boots, I would probably try to find some basic brown boots and add the "turn over" out of a bought fabric - attach it inside and then turn over just like a real cuff. I looked in the Hyrule Historia just to be sure and turned cuffs are definitely right.

I had to find some brown boots for Link and I searched on eBay "knee high brown boots [my size]" and found some pretty decent things. The ones I ended up with were $35 after shipping and although they are not the highest quality they look okay - but it depends on your budget. You might even be able to find something locally like at an "end of winter" sale or in a thrift store.

For the leggings, I'd look for either dancewear - thick tights or those "winter" leggings that are of a thicker fabric. If you don't mind a more "tights" feel, welovecolors.com has great tights - I have a pair in orange and they're really opaque.

Not sure about contacts, I've never used them, I'm scared of putting things in my eyes. >.< I've seen great recommendations in the makeup forum, though, and I'd tune the specifics depending on if I wanted to look more cartoonish or more realistic. Depending on if you normally wear contacts or not, it might be a good idea to practice wearing them before the convention - and make sure they are fit correctly. If you want to go realistic you might even be able to get a free sample or something from your eye doctor !

Thank you so much for the help!

Another random question. Does anyone know where I can find a pink dress, elbow length sleeves? I've not heard anything from the person I commissioned at all in like 3 or 4 months even though I've emailed them several times. So I might get a pink dress and do it myself.

You could search clothing sites with description e.g. 3/4 sleeve pink dress?

If you'd be comfortable, I feel like that dress is a really ideal "first sewing project" - it's a very simple dress and you should be able to find a pattern that is very close.

I just did this Cosplay, and I got my contacts from lens village. They are the Dolly Blue 14mm circle lenses. I have really dark eyes, and they showed up very well. If you have any questions send me a message, and I would love to help you out on your cosplay!!

Here is what the contacts looked like on me:
