Pattern?

Im new to cosplay and can't find an Alice in Wonderland dress patter anywhere which I would then use to make a nurse joy and princess bubblegum cosplay aswell.
I am not confident in drafting a pattern but if there are any helpful websites or tips on drafting patterns they would be greatly appreciated
If anyone knows of a good Alice in wonderland dress pattern please let me know

I've heard good things about the versatility of this McCall's pattern!

The "Alice in Wonderland dress" is iconic enough to have its own Wikipedia page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wonderland_dress

The dress has puffed short sleeves and probably a crinoline and bloomers under the skirt, and a pinafore over top. I don't know if there's a name for this kind of dress. Since it dates right from the original book illustrations, you might want to look for companies that make realistic reproductions of Victorian children's clothing, specifically from the 1860s.

I'll bet someone in the EGL forum would know exactly what it's called and where to get a pattern.

Eesh, I cannot stand that McCalls Pattern, the sleeve is weird into the shoulder and it hits right on/ below the bicep and looks really frumpy, the skirt uses a crazy way to get volume and overall, I would look for a different pattern... I had to modify the crazy out of it to get the look i needed for a costume...

It also depends on which version of Alice you're doing, if you are doing book illustration versus disney, versus any present amalgamation there of (American McGee's Alice for example)

If you want a good puffed sleeve pattern for a dress that isn't crazy...

It also has a high neck version so you can add a Peter pan collar if you are inclined, and for PB and Nurse Joy it should work without too many modifications

Here is a good Alice & Wonderland pattern! I made the shorter dress on the left for my APH Hungary cosplay. It's not an easy dress to make, (some of the directions are kind of confusing) but for the first time using a pattern, it turned out pretty good.

Some of the pieces are used for both dresses. If you modified it a little (maybe make the skirt less ruffle-y and make the entire dress one color), the short one on the left would be perfect for Nurse Joy. I'm not familiar with Princess Bubblegum but I looked up a picture of her and the long one on the right would probably suit her well.
