The worst Booker DeWitt ever...

Alrighty, so despite the fact I SO DO NOT look the part, I've decided on my next cosplay endeavor: Booker DeWitt from Bioshock Infinite. In case you're unfamiliar (because I'm aware some people would be) here's some refs:

http://media.officialplaystationmaga...0017078450.jpg

And now you're probably wondering why a mildly androgynous person would be wanting to play something SO MANLY. Well, I have a friend who is being Robert Lutece so I thought WHY NOT? So, yeah...

ANYWAY, anyway...I need help with some stuff. Mostly the vest (which doesn't have a total design as far as I can tell) and the shoulder holster. I think I can get the shirt and pants easily at Salvation Army or Goodwill. And pencil on five o-clock shadow. I did that before as Walter Kovac. XD Then the thing around his neck...is that a tie or a scarf or what? I've seen it kinda both ways. JUST...tell me your thoughts. XD

A link to a cheap holster would be cool, and maybe a pattern or sewing tutorial for the vest. And then whatever else you wanna throw in there besides what a bad idea this is. XD Thanks a lot!

If you search Mccalls or the other pattern makers you can probably find a pattern for a similar type vest. I found this one that could be altered to work: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1232842...and?ref=market

Another option would be to look for a suit jacket with a similar style and remove the arms.

I think the thing on his neck is sort of a thin scarf, if you look at other pictures.

I'm pretty sure the thing on his neck is actually an ascot, considering the time period. It's just worn down a bit and looks longer in promotional artwork.

I'm looking to make a Booker cosplay myself, but for my fiance.
What do you call his pants? With the stripes? Just...striped pants? I feel like that wouldn't pull the results I want in google..

Pinstriped pants is what you're going to want to google.
