Note this is coming from someone with very limited make up experience and is what I would try, no idea if it is actually good advice.

@darknessinzeros You are definitely on the right track. I believe you have done very well honestly and you are nearly there. Some thoughts, the female face is all about contrast. The eyes are the first place we look and are the most feminine feature of a face. Shade those eyebrows to be darker than the hair. Work on shading the eyes - look up the makeup thread here and youtube Michelle Phan (I'm on my phone so can't link you). Shade, blend, repeat! You are almost there, once you work on getting the makeup right here you will pass. the cheek and lip contouring you have is great as well as the eyebrow shape, well done so far.

Hello, bit nervous about this but here goes.
I haven't tried any makeup yet, nor am I wearing a wig. Basically all I've done is stick my hair under a hat and hood! I just wanted to know if people think I have the potential for crossplay, sorry if the photos aren't very useful, but honest opinions are great. If I were to crossplay obviously I'd work on makeup and buy a wig.
(Also sorry about the size of the photos, apparently that's the only size my webcam is capable of -.-)

@darknessinzeros I think you did the eyebrows perfectly in the first photo, they just needed to be darker. Female eyebrows aren't physically higher, women just pluck the lower edge of their eyebrows so they appear that way. Your natural brow lines are actually perfect already, they just need to be neatened a little, so if it doesn't scare you consider plucking the lower part of your brows so they form neater lines and are less bushy.
This is the lovely lady I was referring to about eye makeup : http://www.youtube.com/user/Michelle...ow=grid&view=0
Keep practising, like I said I think you've nailed the cheeks and mouth.
and I love your bearded lady look
On another note, I've been contemplating doing a Bruce Lee crossplay... I'm already pretty handy with nunchucks

Xiaomo: Female to male, yeah? Your face looks more masculine in the second picture, probably because of the angle. You can pull off a boyish expression well. Your lips are full, though, which will be a hurdle. Your eyebrows are also a very feminine shape, but those can both be overcome with makeup. Even though the pictures are without makeup or anything, I think you definitely have crossplay potential.

@Xiamo I think you have definite potential! I agree with the tips Ilafatyu gave. One more point to add is you'll need to contour your cheeks with makeup to have more definition/angles. Just give it a go and shoot us some pics. Plenty of pointers and tutorials to read about in the faces thread: http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=317445
I say go for it!

Ilafatyu and Chryso - thanks so much! I'm really glad you think I have the potential, I have the confidence to try now I'll take both your tips on board (thanks for the link Chryso!) and I'll post some more pictures when I've had a play around with some makeup Thanks!

...Could my Mugen pass (or at least pass for androgynous)? He's a tad more masculine than the other male characters I cosplay :C

@Xiaomo, I think almost everyone has "potential". As a young person I think you'll do best with "boyish" - it's certainly worth a try if you want to!
@KillerWhaleCake, what makeup are you wearing in the pictures ? Something is throwing me off. One thing off the bat would be that I would draw your eyebrows a bit closer together if not a bit thicker - that might make a huge difference. Is the facial hair supposed to look natural or cartoony ? I might also create / emphasise some kind of under-eye bags/lines. It seems like you're wearing foundation ?
I don't think I've posted a picture of myself on here in a long time. This is me. :P

I remember posting here a while ago for my Sweeney Todd costume
I figured I'd post here again for Captain Jack Sparrow xD
Can I pass as a male? What should I do to make myself look more Depp-ish?
Me as Captain Jack Sparrow

Killerwhale: Yeah, I can't figure out what those dots/lines are. Facial hair? Character markings? I don't know who the character is. Kelley's right with extending the eyebrows closer together. I'd also say avoid shots that look down the shirt, because they are the undoing of crossplayers.
Kelley: You look really PO'd Prince Charming in that picture.
Sweeney: For what it's worth, I had no idea you were female until you posted here. Maybe darken your eyebrows some?
