Exclamation Crow Puppet?

Yes I'm sorry but I have ANOTHER question. *hangs head in shame*

Anyway I need some ideas on how to make a lightweight but sturdy life sized Crow puppet from Naruto. I also would like it to be able to be wrapped up and carried around on my back. It needs movable joints so I can control it without it looking like a stiff piece of cardboard (I already have ideas on how to make the puppet move but any more would be helpful). I can probably find a place that sells joints and whatnot, so the main problem is what to make it out of. I don't want it to break or anything :/. Yes it has to be life-sized. I am a perfectionist.

This isn't for this year's cosplay so I should have time to gather the needed materials and construct it....and probably save up for it. *sigh* nothing is cheap anymore.

Thanks in advance.

Well, carved foam immediately comes to mind. Having never worked with it though, I can't really offer any input on how well it would work, though from what I've read I imagine it'd be reasonably light and sturdy. :/ Or, if you figure out something better but heavier, you probably wouldn't have to make the body out of the same thing, due to it being covered all the time anyway, just the arms, legs, and head. Hopefully someone else can be more helpful ^^;

But Crow IS a prop.......

Yah I was thinking doing a foam base and them covering it with thermoplastic for the parts, then joining the parts with plastic or metal joints. But I'll still look up that up, thanks!
