Smile Why hullo there.

Greetings! Salutations! Hola! Guten tag!

I am both new here, and new to the whole cosplay thing. Against my better judgment, I've recently considered both adding next year's PAX, and doing so in costume.

So I figured I'd poke around here, look at people's advice, and success/failure stories, and possibly ask some silly questions of my own.

Pleasure to meet y'all.

Welcome to cosplay.com! What character(s) are you thinking of cosplaying? (:

Ah, thank you for the welcome~

And! My current plan is Sejuani, from League of Legends. Riot games was kind enough to give her pants, a shirt, and actual armor (which one would expect from someone whose gameplan is "conquer the tundra!", yanno?) in their recent rework of the character.

I chose it both because I like the character (now that she actually wears more than a leather bikini, anyway), and because it seems that it will be challenging but fairly doable. Plus, I figure it'd be a good learning experience.

You never know, conquering the tundra is sometimes most efficiently accomplished in a steel thong. Those designers sure know what winter is like.

Hello ^^

I wish you luck on your Sejuani outfit! I'm glad that they covered her up enough for you to consider it.

My friend has always wanted to go as Talim from SC, but she doesn't like the fact that she shows her belly. :<

Well, of course! And I hear that a bare midriff is an excellent first line of defense against axes and arrows.

Yeah, it can be a bit off-putting to have characters dressed a bit... ah... mrm. Immodestly, shall we say? There are more than enough horror stories of female cosplayers getting heckled for their outfits, on top of that, too. -_-;

And yeah, I'll probably need some luck. But, starting way early, largely for that reason~
Lucky or pure, dumb stubbornness.
