I have a question for all of you mothers.

Is it worth trying to cosplay while pregnant? I'm currently 27 weeks and I've cosplayed throughout most of my pregnancy but there are some really big cons I'm going to and I'm wondering if I should continue.

Honestly, I have a pretty big bump but I'm surprisingly still able to fit into everything I wore beforehand with the exception of my Ghostbusters flight suit....
I just feel really awkward because I have a boyish frame and I can kind of hide my bump....but it just makes me look pudgy...

I just want to know what you guys think.

Have you considered cosplaying pregnant people?

I know how this feels. I'm pregnant with my second child right now, so any cosplaying is postponed atm until I get back in shape. After my first, I tried counting calories but that didn't help. I ended up joining Weight Watchers about a year after my son was born, and lost 15 lbs and have been able to keep it off.
I'm the worst at exercising and maintaining a routine, but I found that basic yoga helped me a ton. I toned up faster just doing yoga than I have doing weights and cardio. I'll definitely be returning to yoga (and WW) this summer after bambino #2 is born.

Unfortunately, not many come to mind. She could always do AU cosplays, like, uh... Pregnant Zelda (not the best suggestion but the only one I could come up with atm).

I'm 26 weeks right now, myself. At the moment, I'm on cosplay hiatus, for a few reasons other than my big belly. For me, it's too hard to make a cosplay work when you have an ever changing body to deal with.
After baby #2 is born, though, I'm getting back into a routine of toning up, not just for cosplay, but because I feel better about myself when I like the way I look.

^^^ Not technically anime, but you could go as Pema, from the Legend of character. Love that character, and plan to cosplay her next time I'm expecting.

If you still have a boyish frame and have any male character costumes, I would take the opportunity to freak people out by doing an mpreg version of someone. XD

You could cosplay as Kushina or as Kurenia from Naruto.
Both of them were shown pregnant in the series.

That's a really good suggestion. *files it away in mental bank of cosplay ideas*

I cosplay Zelda already, and the Goddess Statue from Skyward Sword, and I quote, "carries herself like a young pregnant woman."

My other one I've been doing is fem Ninja Theory Dante. Which has been fun, to say the least.

I'm really glad others have posted. I love to hear your stories.

Pregnant cosplay can be fun. I have one for my Haruhi Fujioka cosplay. It's the market dress and I used it up till 6 months. It hid my bump just enough to get by. Plus you can really have fun and go as "fanfiction" versions of your characters.

I'd say go for it. Find cosplays that can either hide the belly or enhance it. They are out there. If all else fails, improvise or go gijinka.

I'm jumping in with my update: I have till the end of June and I am almost, almost at my goal. I'm probably not going to be the size I used to be ever again but the loose belly is starting to firm up a bit. It's still soft but not too jiggly. I've been belly dancing everyday and working on my shimmies.

The problem I am dealing with now is the after effects pregnancy had on my back. I've been going to my chiropractor once a week to help with the pain and stiffness.

I'm not pregnant but I just wanted to point out, if it doesn't have to be anime, if it can be like movies and stuff, that probably wold open even more pregnancy cosplay choices! Such as Padme from Star Wars (she was pregnant in Revenge of the Sith and had many different outfits, some showed off her pregnancy, others hid it depending on what you'd like).
