Gilgamesh Fate/Zero Wig Help!

So I am doing a Gilgamesh (or Archer) from Fate/Zero and I am pretty beat when it comes to the wig right now. I have a wig that I bought but it is WAY too small.

This is the wig I got-

It was so small that it didn't even fully cover my hairline. Otakon is getting closer and I am freaking out. > >

This is what Gilgamesh looks like-

There are tutorials on YouTube on how make a wig cap bigger. You have to do it on both sides, behind the ears. Easy fix would be to cut the elastic on the wig cap, then insert safety pins. Adjust their placement so the wig fits. If you want to sew in new elastic where you cut, just follow the above tutorial I linked. Hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck!

Oh man that's terrible.

I think before you buy another wig (If you do) you may want to measure the circumference of your head and send an email to the seller and ask if it would fit your head.

[Edit] Ooh Psy's tutorial seems like a great fix

No, actually... I just looked into it and decided to check my wig out. Where the elastic is wouldn't really affect if it would fit or not, I don't think. It barely has volume inside to hold my head.

You'll probably need a new wig, then. I know Five Wits has one in a similar style. Sadly, I don't know how big their wigs are.

You can still add more elastic to increase the volume the wig can hold but you'd have to add it to every piece running vertically down the wig cap.
I took a screen cap of the video posted above and circled the sections I'm talking about: http://i43.tinypic.com/30a5qoy.jpg
I've done this many times with small wigs i've purchased on ebay, all you'd have to do is snip in a line following one weft that way you have a straight line running across the wig and it comes apart in two pieces. then stitch in more elastic and add wefts to cover any bald spots (or just rearrange the wefts already on the wig).

I don't think I can and if so I don't know if it will actually help.

It only helps to elongate the wig cap in the back adding more spade there to fit your head in.

I've done it a numbers on times in the past but if you front hairline doesn't match you head shape there not much you can do to improve the shape there. Tried it out myself but ended up with a flattened wig instead of an enlarged one.
