Possible to temporary caulk a wig?

Pretty much what the subject is. Is there anyway to temporary caulk a wig?

The wig I am using for my Saber cosplay has a ponytail that I smoosh under the braid bun. The problem is, the ponytail is at a length where I need to really shove the braid bun on it to keep it in place(and I even needed to sew it down to keep it from moving). Because of this, wig fibers keep escaping, giving the overall wig a bit of a messy look. I don't want to cut the wig since I use it for other characters too. So, what I am asking is if there is anyway to prevent the wig fibers from escaping the ponytail(be it by glue or otherwise) that I can rinse out/remove after I'm done cosplaying her? I can put up a picture if needed but it might be hard to see the escaped wig fibers.

Caulk or glue would most likely be permanent. Or a pain to removable.
Maybe spiking hair glue? Like the GotB Spike Glue stuff. Not Hair Gel.

Since you did not tell us how long/how big that ponytail is, I am taking a guess.

If it is long enough, you could try loading it up with some sort of styling product like Ash suggested, braiding it, and coiling it, and pinning it into a small bun that the Saber hairbun will fit over.

Another option might be to get a hairnet and securing that over the ponytail so the fibers are contained, then putting the Saber hairbun over it.

Whoops, a picture of the ponytail would have probably helped. Picture. I'm thinking I should braid it while it is in the ponytail?

Got2B Spike Glue I've used for temporary hold but it takes longer to dry so keep that in mind.

Also you can tie the ponytail in section or braid I up so that all the hair is gathered you can then coil it under the bun without issue.
