What is this called?

Could somebody tell me what type of fabric or what type of name is the 'golden rope' that this cosplayer is using to decorate the sleeves and her cosplay? I've been looking for it for a while, but I can't find it.

It seems to be at least three types of gold braid. There is no specific name as far as I am aware beyond 'gold braid'

You can find by the yard rolls as Joanns, Hancock fabrics, sometimes walmart, and of course online in both sewing notions (ribbon, lace, braid, etc) and in home decor notions. Different stores will carry different styles, widths, etc. Its best to just go look and find something you like.

Flat braids like that are often called "gimp braid," and searching that up should get you a whole bunch of different options (width, style, color, etc.) to choose from. Good luck!

You might find it in the drapery area of a fabric store rather than where clothing trim is displayed.

The smaller weight braid is usually found in the fabric section and the heavier braid is found in the upholstery section, in most cases. So if you have trouble finding both in one section, keep looking around the store. Also, the lighter weight braid sometimes comes in individual packets like ribbon, rather than on a spool that has to be cut to size.

Yeah, if you ask around in a fabric store for where they keep the tassels, the braid shouldn't be too far.
