Cosplay Photo Shoot Bucket list

For cosplay photographer I'm sure there are a few cosplays that we have seen or would love to see adn take photos of. I have a few cosplay shoots that I am still trying to make happen and would love to hear your guys list as well.

So far:
She-Ra (only seen a few cosplays with this and do it amazingly)
Ninja Turtles
Super Sentai/Power Rangers (Zords included)
Ruby (video game WET)
Teen Titans
Arkham City Batman
Vampy's Nightwings
Full Sailor Moon characters

Will add more as the year goes by or cross some off my list.

I'd love to do that shoot with the full Utena cast, in a rose garden of course, that we wanted to do but never managed to plan, because may-june is both the best month for roses, and the worst to plan a cosplay photoshoot : the two biggest cons in Paris for cosplayers are end of may and beginning of july, so everyone's busy rushing costumes.

Dynasty Warriors group (or any one of the kingdoms, full cast up to the 8th game)

Angel Beats group

(more to be added when I remember)

I've thought about this a fair amount, and was surprised to find that I don't have any specific must-shoot characters or series on my bucket list.

I love to shoot well-done, complete, interesting costumes and characters, and the people wearing those cosplays. As long as it's a good and interesting costume, I'm up for it.

I'd like to shoot more guys. Most of the time when I put out a casting call or a "photographer available" call, the large majority of the responders are girls. I don't mind shooting girls, of course! It's just that my portfolio is starting to look a little lopsided.

I'm a sucker for body paint and face paint. Not even really for the revealing nature of such costumes; it's just something that I find interesting and appealing. My usual approach is to make skin tones as accurate and appealing as possible, so a completely different skin hue is always a pleasant change. Some of my favorite photos from Dragon*Con are of a Drow cosplayer with long white hair and pitch-black face and body paint.

My lighting and processing style tends toward dramatic, hard, and dark; so, those are the character types that I naturally gravitate toward. I don't do as well with "dreamy" or "light and airy" styles of photos, so I don't actively seek out those sorts of costumes as subjects.

Body paint is a must on my list. I've managed to do a few events but never a 1-on-1 session involving body painted characters.

I have always wanted to do a Record of Lodoss War shoot...since that anime is pretty dated at this point, I don't see that actually happening sadly.

I TOTALLY here you there. It's funny, my two photo interest, action sports and cosplay, is split pretty evenly with mostly guys and mostly girls, respectively.
