Final Fantasy Lightning Returns - Snow's giant ice mace

Hi everyone! So I'm trying to make an accurate replica of his new weapon, but I'm

completely lost as to what to make it out of. Since it is so huge (the largest potential prop

I've ever seen), I would design it so I can disassemble it into parts, a lower half, the pole,

and many separate pieces that would make up the top. I also would want it to be

At first I thought of using some kind of clear resin, but that seems extremely difficult (thoughts?)

I was thinking about using very thin sheets of acrylic sheets? But I'm not sure if acrylic

sheets can be formed easily with a heatgun.

So guys, what should I make this prop of madness out of? D:

Not going to lie, but this prop will be super tough to make.

But onto business, plexiglass sheets should work with a heat gun as I've done it myself as well. But it's going to be a lot of tedious work. Also to my understanding more preferable rahter then resin as it should be lighter.

If there is another method, then your guess is as good as mine.
When in doubt, just take the next small step.
With that next step take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
When the mind is calm you realize the best is still yet to come.

I think unless you already have advanced skill in this field, paper would be a much more viable option. That weapon isn't physically logical; it can't really support it's own weight, balance, or fit through doors.

This isn't worth it unless you scale it down to maybe 1/3 its size. Making it out of wood and adding a whole lot of effects would be another alternate path.
