troll gloves....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvNkwvorsMs
So Ive been planning a gamzee makara cosplay for upcoming gen-con and I saw this video on youtube and I wanted to know HOW did she make those gloves? Is it possible to do without sewing? I am speaking of the one with grey painted skin...... I've tried asking her tumblr but it seems tumblr continues to confuse me with its lack of organization..... The gloves ( i think) travel up her arm and have fake nails glued to them this would reaally help me with saving on make-up I would love you forever for helping me with this<3

This can be done either with opera gloves (which generally go to mid-bicep), or with a zentai suit. You can either track them down in your desired color, or buy them in white and spray or brush it with thinned acrylic paint. Be careful that the paint doesn't cause the fabric to stick to itself while drying.

For the nails, you can use press-on type nails, or just cut out bits of sheet-plastic.

Unless you've got skills, avoid sewing your own gloves whenever possible. They are a pain in the butt.
