Plushie Workshop - Lolita

I run Plushie workshops at cons here in Ontario. Normally my cosplay reflects or is related to what I am teaching. It adds to the experiece and makes it easier for the students to know who to ask questions to or call me over for help.

I don't want to offend or make anyone think Lolita is cosplay (I truly love the fashion)...but I was asked for an upcoming con to do something to tie into Lolita and thought it would be fitting to dress in Lolita Fashion. Would this be concidered wrong or rude, as it isn't my normal dress?

On another note, I was thinking to narrow the workshop to Sweet Lolita so we could make felt plushies. My idea was candy, cupcakes...general Kawaii things. Then I would hotglue to a hair pins finding when the student was finished. This is really a rough idea so Any feedback or ideas would be SO helpful!

Thank you all in advance!

I've been to some of your workshops \^o^/ I don't see how it would be rude at all. The fashion is something to wear to things you enjoy, i'm wearing it right now at school Plenty of lolitas, myself included, wear the fashion to conventions as well, so i don't see any problem with you wearing it to host the workshop

Thank you Sailormoondfan. As a Lolita, what type of accessories would you like to make? More cupcakes or hearts? Bunnies? Is there a website I could look at to get inspiration.

General motifs seen often in lolita are good, like you mentioned- bunnies, hearts, candy, stars. You could try making accessory type things chocomint style, like these, 3d stars and candy:

Another very popular thing among sweet lolitas is arkapasso, little plush llamas

Making plushy headbands/pins is a great idea! I've been to one of yours before and I think it would totally work. For what to make, I'm always down for bunnies.

That sounds cute I want to come XD bunnies puppies and kitties, button eyes:3

But I'll toss this out maybe sewing it to the hair pin and not hot glue >_<; I say this because all my hot glued items hairpins and rings have broken off after wearing them once or twice.

I little bit of whip sticking around a snap clip <3 specially for people who aren't careful with their things.
