Fun Foam is not very hard

I am starting to build me some armor out of foam sheets using the tutorial by Penwiper and I'm having second thoughts about it.
I need to know about those sheets of foam, after 8 layers of the glue/water will my armor still be spongy and wobbly? Are the pointy edges still going to freely blow in the wind, because this armor I'm doing is very pointy. Or is it because I'm using 2mm thick foam?

I've made a full armor set out of the 2mm fun foam, and after sealing it and painting it, it was pretty sturdy and was almost hard when you tapped against it.
I also have spikes on my armor, and they don't move at all (and they survived a plane ride, let me tell you that).
Good luck on your armor! 8D

Thanks for the armor advice! I will go ahead apply more layers of glue to it.

Can you tell me how you made the spikes? Were they made out of fun foam too? Right now I'm just rolling it into a cone shape, but then it overlaps and you can see the thick seams.

You might try sealing it with something like mod podge and/or some kind of non toxic outdoor sealer. However it also may not becomeharder till you have painted it and then you could re seal over the paint. Always best to try different versions and find one you like.
