What looks better??? (Okage Shadow King Linda Costume) - plaid or no plaid

Hi!
The problem is that I plan on cosplaying Linda from Okage shadow king, (I already have her dress).
But I have no idea whether I should make her dress plain and pink (Like what alot of fan art and even official artwork, merchandise, figurines, etc)
examples: (in the plain pink dress)

or plaid where how it is like in the actual videogame/gameplay

Please look up videos if you want to see more of the plaid design on youtube if you want (sorry, I posted all of the correct plaid pictures I could find on google)

Thanks, and please help?

Hm. Personally, I like the plain pink design and as much as I love plaid, I just think it looks a bit odd. But that's just me! Sorry if I am not reading correctly, but I am guessing you have the dress in it's plaid form? It really depends on how you feel about it, if you want to make it plain pink because it is more appealing to you, go for it, and I see that form is more popular.

But before I go on rambling about other details, you do have the dress in it's plaid form, right? ^^;

since the version of plaid used is the "non uniform grid" type rather than the more
"checkerd" looking type sterertypical of flanel shirts

you could split the difference and "thin line" the plaid,
basically make the lines narrower

im thinking thinning the lines will alter the proportions so scaling down the pattern
should bring it back

it looks like the blue is 1/2" lines vertical and horizontal creating alternating rows of
1.5" and 5/8" inch boxes,
so id shrink it to 3/16" lines, 1" and 3/8 boxes
or 3/16 vertical and 1/8 horizontal lines

im not sure though, rescaling the plaid might just make the pattern smaller, rather than less
visable,
its one of those things that arnt as obvious in small scale as in full scale

personally if i went w/ making it plaid, i would use a thinner line,
cause when i see blue/pink, i call it cottoncandy, sometimes it looks nice,
but in this case id want it to be a pink dress w/ omg theres a blue pattern on it type effect

Ahhh. Okay. I was going to say that i'd just leave it plaid since I wouldn't want you to risk
trying to make it plain. ^^; Well which form do you like best? Which would you feel more comfortable being in? I personally just like it plain since I do think it looks more natural, it's just
the plaid on has a weird look to it, I think it would look nice if done correctly but I would be fine with it being plain. Sorry if i'm not being clear. It's just generally based on what you feel more comfortable walking around in.

haha, I understand. It's just that alot of people are telling me it looks nice plain while others are saying that it's more accurate to have the plaid. I feel comfortable in either one, I just don't know! :s
