Viking embroidery

I'm making a female viking dress and I want to embroider it, but it has to look like it's from a wealthy person. What kind of motives should I use? And if you have some thoughts of the kind of jewels I should wear or whatever that could help, please tell me.

Unfortunately, this is the kind of thing you have to sink some research into. There might be people out there who already have an idea - and they might have websites ! You could also check out SCA locals or websites as some do that area/era.

She doesn't have a lot on fashion, but looking at the other art might help you make some good patterns. She's also got information on the jewelry worn.

There isn't terribly much out there on Viking-era clothing (partly because there's little archaeological evidence to back it up) but here's a couple useful links I used when I was working on Viking Norway from Hetalia. If I remember correctly, a noble had half-circle pleats in the sides of his tunic and the embroidery is a special type of weaving they did. I just used a woven ribbon I found at JoAnn's that looked pretty similar. It's gotten good reviews so at least that's something. ^^
