Agreed. Hooks and eyes like that would not hold.
Now I don't really remember your measurements, but things like these should work.
However, you get what you pay for so honestly I wouldn't buy one for less than 80 bucks.

Again I didn't check the ratings on these and wouldn't suggest them for real reduction.

This is the shape wear I use. Obviously it's not in your budget on amazon but it may be somewhere else. However Capezio can be found other places. It's made for dancers so it's thought stuff. It won't really make your thinner, however it will smooth you and keep everything in place.

Hope that helped. (:

That middle one actually looks nice. But I wonder how well it'll work..and that shapewear is actually pretty cheap priced from all the others I saw.

You're not going to be able to cheap out on a corset and get a good one. Thats a place where you have to spend the money.

Well, as I said above a few posts back, It seems that the shapewear was the stuff I was describing, not corsets, so I don't think we need to talk about the cost of corsets anymore..

I'm not a crossplayer going to have to chime in on shapewear. I've been using the stuff for years to look good in form-fitting dresses and you really do get what you pay for with that stuff. From what I've noticed, the cheaper it is, the crappier the compression. I bought a $10 set of spanx-type compression shorts and they didn't work too well. When I mean it didn't work too well, I mean I could still see the "lumps" on my thighs through the fabric. A little while later, I bought a pair that cost me around $25 at TJ Maxx and it worked a lot better. If you don't wanna pay the price for authentic Spanx, check out Ross or TJ Maxx (if you have one in your area). However, the thing with discount stores like those is that you need to try it on since the majority of their merchandise is "irregular."

I fell in love with corsets years ago and probbly have around 7 or 8 that i wear for various reasons and outfits. I would only recomend steel boned corsets (or wale bone if your wallet is deep enough) plastic just can't do the job. Leather corsets tend to be to thick to wear under a tight dress so I would recomend eather satin or cotton. As for size I measure around 34" to 36" at the waist depending on where I measure, guys pants vs. Womans highrise or lowrise ext. I buy my corsets in size 28 or 30 depending on brand and material.

I just bought a corset from this seller on ebay not to long ago.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/glamorous-co...p2047675.l2562

Not as good of quality as a expensive corset but well made and a very good deal for the money. I am planning on buying at least one more from them in the near future. Their long line satin steel boned corset is next on my list.

Heres my avice for shapers, get in shape before you start to even consider getting one. Shapers can only do so much before they look really awkard.

Shaper does not mean it will instantly transform you, it means it will only assisst you.

I know, I'm only looking at them for a bit of help. Not to look like I'm super thin or something. Obviously "get in shape" is what I WANT to do, I'm sure I've already said that on here. I just want something that will help smooth things out and more like, bou nce around the fat that's already there.

Hey, just letting everyone know, I got my corset today. I bought:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/281027145317...84.m1439.l2649
It's not the same size it says though..I bought the 5x which says it's a 42-43in, and I have to have it QUITE open in order to wear it. Like WAY open in the back..See in the pics how far open it is in the back, I am assuming that's where they say it's those measurements. I had it about that and it about 2-3inches too small..However, it IS nice..When I finally was able to wear it, it DID make me look thinner and nicer. AND it doesn't seem to be cheap quality eather.

EDIT:
Here's the corset:
http://s88.photobucket.com/user/Razo...50681.jpg.html
Not the greatest change, but it's different at least. Looks better then without it
