Rose Dawson-Titanic cosplay

I'm debating on whether or not I can pull off such an iconic character.

I also can't decide whether I want to do this dress: Link

Or this one: Link

I also have NO idea what to do for a wig. :P

Well I think you couldn't go wrong with either dress, because both of them are so very well known. Rose's main outfit is the red/black one but she wore the pastel one during one of the most famous scenes in the film. So really, either one is recognizable. It just depends on your budget and your preferences. Also, if you are a seamstress, but like using patterns:

http://www.simplicity.com/p-5974-misses-costume.aspx . Simplicity has a pattern for both!

As far as wigs go, here are a couple:

http://www.wilshirewigs.com/DISCOUNT...G-pr-1606.html (can come in different colors)

http://www.wilshirewigs.com/1870-WIG-pr-4094.html

And even if you don't like these, the entire website has great costume wigs. I've bought several for theater stuff I've done and they're good quality and comfortable!

Hope this helped a little~

Hi! I love seeing people do Titanic cosplays... another good resource is www.sensibility.com It's a mainly historical sewing forum, but there are plenty of references there and people who have made all of Rose's dresses. The lady who runs the site actualy made a more period-accurate pattern for the "sinking" dress and has links to other patterns for the "dinner" gown. Plenty of ways to get the look of the beading as well if you are short of time.
