Has anyone cosplayed as a human form Pokemon?

I've been kinda interested in cosplaying as a human form Pokemon for a while. I've seen quite a few fan art of human form Pokemon but not that many actual cosplayers dressed up as them.
I was just wondering if there's that many cosplayers that have done it and how you went around putting the cosplay together?

Check out the Pokemon Gijinka thread in the Pokemon forum. There are lots of cosplayers who have done it.

There are tons actually, but the thing is many don't always base theirs off fanart. Instead they make one of their own art and cosplay it at the convention so It's easy to miss sometimes. Namely for Pokemon who don't have a design that you could recognize it immediately by. As for putting it together, I say they base it off many things:Sewing Skill level, great eye for thrifting, amount of money they'd like to budget for a commissioner, and the design itself (what they'd like- ball-gown, top-hat, goggles, etc). You just need to figure out what goes well with you.

I'll take a look at that. Could probably post a link if you have one?

Yeah I think I might try drawing my own form of pokemon and try commissioning someone to make the cosplay for me.

The general gijinka thread and the suggestions thread. :3

I cosplayed Espeon this past August. I owned a lavender yukata so all I had to do was get ears + wig + a plastic gem. xD

Yes there are plenty. I'll actually be doing Sylveon sometime in the near future. I have done a Latios and Latias cosplay duo before.

People do this all they time. Either wearing full poke-suits, or by modifying the characters to fit a human's size. I highly recommend not the "full-size pikachu suit" style, because nobody really looks like they've tried by wearing those... those are more con-pajamas. But the pikachu above is an excellent example.
