Other cons to replace AM2

So, to help people who are bummed about missing another con, here are other cons you can go to:

Anime Expo, July 4th Weekend, LACC
Anime California, August 22-24, Orange County
Anime Los Angeles, January, Los Angeles

There's also Comikaze Expo in the beginning of November, but that isn't anime specific.

Yeah, I had to look a little bit into this Anime California. While I do admit that having another convention might work, expecting something like 4,000 attendees for a first year convention is quite.....audacious.

Also, Japan Expo USA is highly recommended by me. Though I remember reading the interview where the time/date will be moved to accommodate for the market needs up in NorCal. Should be fun to see it explode because of the overwhelmingly positive word of mouth from 2013.

Comikaze isn't huge on cosplay, but it was a pretty fun experience, too.

There's also Wondercon at Anaheim. It's in the same location AM2 was.
It's not concentrated much on anime; more similar to San Diego comic con I think.
Although I did come across a few anime cosplayers. This event is on April 18, 19, and 20.

There's also C4 (Central Coast Comic Con), which is kind of around the area. It had quite a lot of people last year.

That's funny, to recommend one first year convention over another though. I think that's kinda like saying two different things. Now that Japan Expo is over, well, we all know how that went.

Anime California keeps improving pretty much every time I check their website. So I'm looking forward to that a TON.
