Princess Kida (Atlantis) ~ Sarong Skirt ~ HELP!

I'm interested in making the sarong skirt Princess Kida wears. Does anyone have any pointers or a design on how to cut the shapes and put them together. This is my first time making a costume, sorry if I sound so noobish. I am thinking of making it out of an elastic type material so it flows nicely and isn't so stiff. But if you have other suggestions please feel free.

Hmmm google it. But I suppose you could use fabric paint.

Flow comes from the weave of a fabric combined with it's fiber content, not whether it is stretchy or not.

If you want it really romantic and to move in the slightest breeze, silk would be ideal, but polyester or rayon fine weaves would do nicely too. Look at Dharma Trading for affordable silk and the dyes to get your color.
Nothing is impossible, but some things are very expensive. Instagram: penlowe
My Etsy shop: I make non-fitted custom things to ship within the continental US. I only do fitted garments for those whom I can meet in person.
