Recently established in 2013, World Cosplay Wrestling was founded by former successful Wall Street trader Lashayda DuCree. Using her vast fortune, Lashayda hosts extravagant matches staring the world's most loved (and not so loved) characters as they square off to prove their dominance and becoming the next champion and for her own personal amusement. Leave the your power level scanners at the door folks, these contestants are putting their pride on the line and it is up to you the fans, to see who walks away with the prized championship belt.
World Cosplay Wrestling is a brand new panel making its debut at ALA where we wish to combine the theatrics and dramatic flair of professional wrestling with the colorful characters of anime, manga, comics and video games. Our contestants will not only square off against each other to win over the crowd but also against our unknown champion. We welcome and encourage anyone interested in applying. Above all else we want to run a fun and memorable show that all involved can enjoy as a result we ask those auditioning to take a moment to really think about how they wish to portray themselves as. Additional information and tips on the application process can be seen in the audition form linked below.
The panel will be divided into three rounds with each contestant given to chance to showcase an pro wrestling style entrance as well as their microphone skills in as they create a promo for the audience. The entire show will have live commentary provided by World Cosplay Wrestling Owner Lashayda DuCree as well as eccentric fanboy Mr. Hikki.
Round 1: Contestants will walk on stage as if they were doing a professional wresting intro complete with theme song and poses. Then they will speak to the cut a promo to show the crowd how they are the best and should win the championship. Each contestant will have a total of 5 minutes
. Judges will rank contestants in terms of charisma, emotional response from the crowd (loud cheering/booing), over microphone skills and character. Half the entries will proceed to the next round. Our team highly suggests looking up professional wrestler promos for inspiration on how they riled up the crowd and how they carried themselves out.

Round 3: The challenger and champion will face off in the ring and have a direct back and forth with each other each each person getting to speak twice ( champion speaks then challenger then champion and then the challenger) Whoever speaks first will be determined by those in the ring.
