Easy Cosplays for beginners?

Im going to be learning how to sew soon, and im looking through a few Fire Emblem Awakening characters, im looking for a easy one to make a cosplay out of, but still not sure what would be good for a beginner.
Any sugestions...?
And also on a side note, would you say that the cosplays i have planned to do would be good for a beginner or should i wait untill i have a bit more experience before making them?

There are quite a few. Most nime that has things like normal clothes, or something, would be good. L (death note) is a well known character and all you need is jeans and a long sleeve white shirt and black wig..
Then Light (also death note) wears his uniform, which is your basic suit..
Misa (again death note) wears a gothic style, but you can find it at any walmart..

also, not knowing how to sew yet, why not buy your first one or 2 costumes online until you get better at sewing? That's what I did

I think Ricken, Donnel, and Henry are some good beginner choice cosplays from Fire Emblem Awakening.

For Lucina, I'm currently making the mask she wears, though the one thing that kinda ticks me off about FEA are the shoes as they are at least 2-3 layers. (Like Lucina's shoes look like a ankle boot with long socks, but it's actually a knee high boot)

Learning how to sew costumes is a wonderful thing. Though I believe Fire Emblem may be a bit of a challenge for a beginner but if you like challenges, go for it. I'd really recommend planning out your costume first (patterns, money, time, etc...) before you start sewing.

I have the Fire Emblem Awakening art book which saved me so much time since it has references and character designs from the game.

I agree that FE:Awakening might be a bit of a challenge. Although I think you can really get away with Donnel as long as you're wearing a pot on your head. :P

L is a classic easy costume. I also thought 15YO Lambo from Katekyo Hitman Reborn was really easy if you already have black pants and a black blazer. The only difficult part being that you need a cowprint shirt.

Ah, ok thanks for the suggestions ^^

I ordered my first one actually ^^ Its a Ricken cosplay.

I know nothing about the animes you guys are talking about though ^^` The only anime like thing i`ve watched is Pokemon, but im trying to find somewhere to watch some episodes of Hetalia, and maybe find out about a few more popular Anime. Im more into Video Games but trying to find a few good anime since i`ve started to Cosplay.

Donnel and Henry seem like some good ideas, I recall my friend almost getting a Donnel cosplay before, but chose a Assassins Creed cosplay instead. I ordered from cosplay fu, its my first experience with ordering cosplays, and hopefully a good one.

If you want to watch some good dubbs, these are the sites I use (They have a lot of the popular stuff on them):
http://www.dubbedepisodes.org/
http://www.watchcartoononline.com/

If you wanna watch some subs:
http://www.animefreak.tv/
If you make an account (free to do) then you get more things you can do (more watches per day, when you are not a member it will stop you after a certain number of videos for the day)

You can watch the dubs of both Death Note and Hitman Reborn on both the dub sites, as well as the ones you waned to watch. And Fire Emblem is a game, so..

Since I'm a beginner myself, I thought I should a simple too for my first convention. I suggest Howl from Howl's Moving Castle. I'm also cosplaying Howl myself Not his blonde hair outfit but his black haired one. It's very simple. It's nothing fancy too so it's a good beginner.
