I figured I'd ask you all, since you are the Zelda people of cosplay.com.

Thanks for your opinions, and/or any ideas you might have towards this costume's construction. (Why the heck do I always sound so formal?...)
very doable,in fact you could probably just build an upper body with the arm extentions and then make a black spandex body suit to go over the entire thing

hey now I got a question.
does anyone think I could actually pull off gannon?
the Twilight Princess one.
and I mean pull it off and look good, and not have the"so out of place look"

If that picture in your avatar is you then yes definatly. You have the face structure for it and with a red wig, some eyebrow dye and a red beard. If you spent the work to do it all right yes yes you could. How tall are you?

Woah. I didn't see this thread. xP
I need some suggestions/opinions if someone wouldn't mind giving me some.

What kind of wig should I buy for OoT Link? And I'm doing zora tunic Link, so naturally, I'm going to make the iron boots to go with it. Any suggestions on what to substitute for the iron?

I'd definatly say wool cloth. I've tried polyester cotton and its just too thin and wimpy looking for the look you need. My twilight princess link will look infinitely better with the wool tunic I have planned. My leather work helps but the new tunic will push it over the edge into awesomeness.

For Iron boots I'd say make or buy the boots and then make the iron caps out of fiberglass, then chrome those up and maybe velcro them to the tops. Just a thought.

Well, since the Twilit Messenger seems to be a go, does anyone have any suggestions on how I could do the head? I need it to be fairly light (since I won't be standing upright in this costume), some sort of stone look-alike, and have some way for me to see out of it (I don't really want to have large holes cut out of it and overtly visible. Some sort of mesh, like from the Scream masks, maybe?). Any suggestions, or directions to places I could look for help?

Also, anyone have any idea what type/brand of paint and techniques I should use for the markings so that it wont crack or flake off?

Thanks, yet again.

There's a slew of tutorials in the Acessories and Props section of the boards, hunt around there and you're bound to find something. If you want light, there's always moulding out of hot glue, but for something that large you may have to wire-frame it. Craft foam and paper-mache would work too. Any props I've done have always been a combination of wood and PVC, things like staves.

And, would anyone have any good screen shots of Link in his Zora Armor from Twilight Princess? I don't own a copy of the game, so I have no other way of obtaining any than scouring the internet. (Which I'll do anyway.)
