I'm not sure this year; the last on I went to was in....2011 and they had it in one of the concert rooms. It was actually a bit underwhelming. :/

Haha, I think that was the last one we went to too, the Mrs. was pregnant and we were gonna go in as Max and Miria from Robotech.
Opted not to.

Right? We get all dressed up in our couples costume, spent all that money on wigs and glasses, got the vest and coat just right, and then we leave. Alas.

I'll probably be going just to check it out. Went last year as Shizuo and my friend as female Izaya (both from Durarara) and left after about 30 minutes. It wasn't bad, it's just they had the lights on so the mood for dancing wasn't really there and they didn't play much ballroom music. Felt more like high school prom... I'd really love to go this year as Japanese-formal Sasuke (think kimono and hakama) but I'd hate to find out it's not worth it...

I go to the Masquerade Ball every year with my friends!
Last year I was dressed up as Sarah from "Labyrinth" in her big poofy white ball gown! I love that costume, but man is it heavy!!!! o____o
Is it just me, or does their music playlist every year seem to be getting worse?? I love dancing to phantom of the opera or ball-room orchestra, but last year they just had swing dancing??!

No it's definitely NOT you. I'm not sure why, but they don't seem to ever play ballroom music or similar even though it's a ball! Lol

I'll be attending Masquerade Ball this year. I will be planning on becoming a dance host if you need help with your dancing or need a dance partner.

Lol that'd be hella awesome!! I'll definitely need to get some pictures with your wife when I cosplay Sasuke AND especially if we both do Japanese-formal kimono versions!! I think making kimono Sasuke would be worth it just for that alone! XD
