Yea some bookstores don't let you sell bad if you don't get them from the book store, but Amazon can have nice cheap deals and you can resell them there.

Yeah, amazon was the first place I checked (mainly because I rarely buy things in a real store) and it's $150-ish. Not too bad.... I probably will sell it back senior year when I don't need it anymore. I wonder why my school doesn't have any of these books though... my school provides every other textbook, even for other AP classes. I don't get it, but oh well.

This doesn't help me at all and tells me nothing about the film as a whole, just that some kid is cute.

The animation is amazing. Visually one of the best movies of the year. And the voice acting is pretty swell.

That being said, the plot is meant for kiddies, and pretty shallow. It's not bad, but I was rolling my eyes halfway through the movie. It's not a bad movie, but it's no Wreck-It Ralph.

Might just rent it on Netflix or something if it's released through them then. I do have to say that visually the movie looks FANTASTIC but I am not sold on looks alone.

AINT NO HOLLAH BACK GIRL YA KNOW.

Well it was technically a movie made for kids, made from a book line... targeted at kids.

I reject the concept that childrens material has to be yuppiefied.

I was trying to make caramel sauce and without thinking lifted the spatula from the boiling sugar and dipped my finger on it to taste how it was. I think there is a layer of sugar burned onto my finger...been holding an ice pack for the last half hour....

I don't undestand the word used in this context but I understand the overall sentiment. Kid's movies don't have to dumbed down overly cutesy or overly kiddiefied. Look at Pixar, at times it kind of seems like an unfair argument to bring up, but just fucking look at Pixar they're near gosh dern perfect. Or Ghibli for that matter.

I see now, I guess I didn't feel that about RTOG, but that's just me. It didn't really feel dumbed down, to me but then again I'm a different person than Chris.

Yeah, "Yuppiefield" doesn't apply at all. Fullbleed hit the nail on the head. Pixar/Ghibli does all ages well.

My main beef with it was that ending. Shit was UGHHHHHH. That and the more I think about it, the more I realize it's just Kingdom Hearts w/ a holiday coating. The fandom does little to prove me wrong.

GTFO and don't make wild guesses as to what the meaning behind someone else's words are.

It was in response to Shelby mentioning it was a children's film based on a children's book. My objection was that I don't believe a lack of substance is excusable because the material is mainly targeted towards children.

You're really defensive.

You didn't quote anything and even the person who your post was aimed at didn't even get it.

The mail that was held while I was on vacation was supposed to be delivered today but it wasn't. So the next possible time I'd be getting it is Wednesday. According to tracking a lolita dress I ordered should be in there. That makes the wait even harder.
