Question about Fanexpo Toronto

Hello, I plan on doing two cosplays for Fanexpo this year. It will be my first time cosplaying, and I have never been to this convention either.

My question is, what CAN you cosplay as here? Is it only comic book characters?

I wanted to cosplay as someone from diablo 3/ world of warcraft/ league of legends... Is that out of the question at this con?

Welcome! For future reference, there is a section her devoted to Fan Expo: http://www.cosplay.com/forumdisplay.php?f=99

To answer your question: Pretty much any and every kind of costume is allowed there. You will not get turned away at the door if you happen to be cosplaying a character that doesn't fit the "themes" of the convention. Remember that there are 6 different parts of Fan Expo: Gaming, Comics, Anime, Sci-Fi, Horror, and last year introduced Sports.

Feel free to cosplay whomever you like.

something to note, fanexpo is extremely crowded, so you don't really want to do anything bulky or breakable or with large props.

Unless you're in the masquerade. I have seen some huge and amazing costumes in masquerades past, I assume they accommodate that kind of thing.

Since it's your first time cosplaying, I also invite you to check out the Props & Weapons Policy, if you haven't already. http://www.fanexpocanada.com/props-weapons-policy/
