Removal of lenses process

I feel like this is a stupid question, but I thought its better to ask and know than just guess and possibly do something wrong.

So I know that when you put in lenses, you should do it before applying makeup. But what about when taking them out? Do you remove the make up with a make up wipe first? Or take the lenses out and then take the make up off?

Thanks in advance!

I find it depends on just how much I have ons, but I usually wipe off excess eye makeup with a dry tissue, wash my hands (important to both have clean fingers for general lens hygiene and to not smear crud all over your lenses/eyes), take out my lenses and then all my makeup comes off. If you're somewhat careful, you won't get much if any on your lenses when taking them out, whereas if you get remover IN your eyes with lenses in, ohhhh BOY that is going to suck.

I take out my lenses pretty early in the makeup removal process. I take off my fake lashes, if I am wearing any, then remove the lenses. I don't want to be rubbing on my eyes and damage them with the contacts.
