So I want to figure out how the heck to make this much hair in this ponytail....

Anyway as you can see, a normal clip in ponytail will not be anywhere near enough hairhair..Any ideas? I was thinking of buying the Jasmine in Maroon from arda as it's already in a ponytail (I would use the Jeanie, but it doesn't come in Maroon..) anyway, I could use the extra amount that already is pulled back, and add the clip in for MORE hair, but I still don't think that's enough..Any thoughts?

Why not use a second wig? Or use the Jeannie from Arda and take the ponytail clip apart, then add a pack of long wefts and remake the ponytail.

Hmm..didn't think of that..I'd use the same length though, but I kinda like that idea..this won't be until august (so Ichigo, you will see this cosplay) so I got a bit of time to get this together

Kukkii-San has a ponytail tutorial with foam core, which gives extra "body" to the ponytail. Might give you ideas, too. Good luck with whichever methods you use.

I've personally used this technique several times and have loved the results. I pull a longer wig into a ponytail, then use a clip-on ponytail to clip that first ponytail up. The result is very natural looking and has a ton of body.

Are you talking about the method that Ichigo mentioned? If so this seems easier but still promising..

Similar, but I just use one ponytail clip instead of two. I like the effect of one clip more, but it could be personal preference since I use that technique more for lolita/gyaru than cosplay.

Do you have a reference of how it looks when done? I don't own a ponytail wig to clip my lolita clip to so I can't see how it looks in person..Obviously yours won't look exactly like the character I need, but it'll give me a general idea..

PSY, I decided to look up Kukkii-San on google, I know who that is now lol I just didn't know the name..Anyway, I didn't really understand her tutorial. It confused the crap outta me lol and she has a bunch of pics then a bunch inbetween the tutorial so I can't easily just get to the ones I need..But either way, I couldn't follow it for the life of me..

This is how I usually put my wig up. The same principle works for high ponytails.

It'll look even fuller since Kyoko's ponytail is layered. Tease for tons of volume.

Oh I understand what you mean. That was what I first thought to do, I just didn't think it would be enough because one clip only has a tiny bit of volume..

Hey, I have a new question..So I wen't on and bought a wig from a user here, hoewver, I'm thinking that I want to use a wig pulled into a ponytail rather then what I have (A short wig with a clip on..). The ponytail and base are both from epic cosplay and in a dark red color (I bought another dark red wig from there and it seems to match so I'm going with that..

Anyone know any tutorials on putting a wig into a ponytail? A lot of wigs would be too hard because the wefts would show..I don't have that much money to put into this..So I can't buy more wefts on top of buying another wig..Any thoughts?



Also on this topic..Another question..Ok so I mentioned that I HAVE a wig..Well I also wanna think about if I can't happen to make a wig into a ponytail..So Maybe an arda wig that IS in one..The Jeanie comes in Maroon..I don't know how well that matches MY wig..If it looks like it will match then I would like to buy that and use, both, the clip that it comes with, and MY clip to make a thick clip along with having the hair in a nice ponytail.
