Talking Gijinka Umbreon Ideas?

I'll be going to my very first con in around a month, and I already have my cosplay for day one all set up.
Buuuttt, I realized how awesome Umbreon would be for day two, or if something happens to the day one! I'd do Espeon, but I am lacking the money to order a nice wig xD And hair dye would take far too long in the morning for me to put on before I go for the con. Umbreon is awesome anyway, and I've got dark hair for it.

The thing I'm stuck on is how I'd go about making the ears and tail! I've heard some people make them stuffed with fluff, but those tend to not stand up.
Would using wire and felt around the wire work?

I think I'll just use some black clothes from my closet for the body, but any ideas are welcome.

I'm working on an Umbreon too! I think it's one of the more popular gijinkas since you can basically slap some yellow ovals on and it's recognizable. What kind of style are you going for, just a casual closplay, or something with a little more pizzaz?

Yeah, wire should work to keep the ears upright and the tail from flopping around, with some fluff or batting to keep the shape. Just make sure you get a thick enough gauge that it holds up-- For some reason I thought 2 pieces of 20 gauge wire would be enough for a tail, but it's not as springy as I'd like. Too floppy.
