Dances, Anyone?

Not sure if this fits under Skits or not, but hey! My loose inturpretation ;D
So, I was wondering with the anual Con I attend comming up pretty soon, what are some good, recognizable dances? And would you recognize any of these dances or songs? :

  • Hare Hare Yukai
  • Love And Joy
  • Hello, How Are You
  • Happy Synthesizer
  • Matryoshka (not fully learned ;^
  • Renai Circulation
Those are the dances that I know so far, along with a few of my friends. We have about enough time to learn one, maybe two more dances. Recomend any? And let me know if you're a fellow dancer! Thanks!

Is this for a skit or purely for fun?

Depending on your answer, there will be different responses.
When in doubt, just take the next small step.
With that next step take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
When the mind is calm you realize the best is still yet to come.

With the surge of kpop coming in, there are a lot of simple dances to learn, but I warn you greatly not to use Gangnam Style. You have to realise at least four other groups will think their skit is so original and awesome because of how they implemented the song into it, so you really don't need to add to that count by using that song, lol.
Upcoming Cons
MAGFest 2016
Valentine | Skullgirls
Sim | The Sims
Katana/Barbarianna | Kung Fury
AnimeNEXT 2016
(Censored) Sim | The Sims
Valentine | Skullgirls
Road (Exorcist Uniform) | D. Gray-Man

Not really familiar with the last three..

But if anything, you should look into some really popular Kpop song dances like (SNSD - Gee, Gangnam Style, etc). Although Gangnam Style is overdone lol

You can do popular dances from K-POP like (SNSD - Gee, Gangnam Style, etc). But..Gangnam Style is overdone, but it depends on you.

I think the problem with a lot of the well known dances listed here is that so many people do them. Carameldansen was so overdone that from what I heard, some cons made rules stating that no more than 30 seconds of somebody else's choreography could be used.

If this is for a masquerade...please stay away from any of those popular, pre cheoreographed little dances. They are fun to do, sure, but they are also overdone, rarely if ever make sense for the character, and most people look like fools dancing them.

Someone mentioned Gangnam Style. The last masquerade I was at, 3 or 4 people did Gangnam Style, and this was at a sic fi con with an older crowd, not the meme filled type of show some cons have. Any way, the first time it was funny (mostly because it was a bunch of cute children) but after that it was annoying. For every seemingly clever take on a meme there will be dozens of people who have seem it far too many times and a few others who are out of the loop and don't understand why Optimus Prime dancing badly to KPop is supposed to be entertaining

But if you're not taking about masquerade and just wanna dance, go for it.
Next Con: Anime Weekend Atlanta
Finished costumes: Joffrey Baratheon (Game of Thrones), Morty (Rick & Morty)
In Progress: Victorian!Jesse (Pokemon inspired)

Yeah, internet memes get old REAL fast. I was sick of grumpycat about a week after that darn animal became a "thing".
Learning the dances for a con rave is one thing, but I wouldn't use them in a masquerade skit.
