Will AX cap attendance going forward? Seems like everyone thinks the 110,000 will be the cap for AX. Also, can they handle that population without switching to the ACC or anything?

Personally, I think LACC can barely hold AX at its current cap; that's part of the reason why they have to expand to the JW Marriott for some of their programming.

"Los Angeles feels bigger"

https://twitter.com/Gredival/status/1018578270193774592

Can someone explain to me the whole "Los Angeles feels bigger" thing? Or is it like how, if I was to guess, my cat probably thinks my (our? xD) apartment is bigger than the hotel we stayed at for AX based only on what she has seen? (Yes, I brought my cat with me. No, I didn't bring her to the convention center. ^_^; )

I don't agree with the guy but I think its just perspective.

When I attended Blizzcon the ACC felt tiny because the whole thing was delegated to the main hall and the main hall is separated into 4 parts. Where as AX is just one massive room then a long narrow hallway to the other section which makes it feel large but also very wide because of the hall separation from the rest of the convention.

Now this perspective would be completely flipped on its head when I attended D23 because they utilized ALL of the space. Upstairs, across the hallway, and in the basement.

ACC is very large but people are not keen to that perspective.

Y'all....I was really excited to be coming to AX next year, even though I was a bit bummed because I had to pay shipping for badge I wouldn't even get shipped to me because I live in Germany.

But now I'm just depressed xD It sounds like a hot overwhelming mess. And did I read that right? There's no or inadequate A/C?

Some what, the LA Convention Center is an outdated facility. Inadequate A/C, hot humid summer days, and massive human traffic makes this con slowly becoming unbearable. I'm just waiting for the day when AX has to resort to using a SDCC-style lottery to buy badges when the demand to come to this event far exceeds the Convention Center's facility capacity.

I'll bet some people will still insist that the LA Convention Center isn't overcrowded at that point.
