Using .pdo files for costume

I am wanting to make a guyver costume using pdo files and played around with pepakura. When printing out the files as long as I scale the peices to my measurements would it still work printing them on 8.5x11 paper or is it easier to do it on 11x17 paper?

Everything involving Pepakura and also the times that I've done it, 8.5 x 11" card stock is used!

I believe that is typically the standard of anything involving Pepakura as well.

When I did a test print just using regular paper it said that the designs were to big to fit on the paper sothe program had to shrink them before printing it.

I'm no pepakura expert, but shrinking them is almost certainly not going to give you desirable results. If the files are intended to be printed right to the edge of the paper, you'll need to find a different method of printing (kinko's or whatever).

You don't want to shrink your designs, you want everything to be printed to scale so that when you put everything together, it fits you.
With Pepakura Viewer all of your pieces should already be made to fit on one page of 8.5" x 11" card stock.

You also have to change the settings on your printer to ensure that when it prints, everything will print properly. You can change the settings so that everything fits, you never ever want to shrink stuff with projects involving Pepakura.

Here are some written instructions that may help you!

If the pep pieces you have are too big for 8.5x11 paper, you will need to cut them to fit on the paper and glue the pieces together. You cannot do this with Pepakura Viewer. You either need to purchase a license for Pepakura Designer, or get someone who has a license to do it for you.

I have the free version of Pepakura Designer. The only issue is I can't save it but I can cut the pieces.

If you do this, it's super important that you make sure to have it alert you of overlapping pieces.
