DUDER. Last Halloween, Neil Gaiman hosted a costume contest, and the winners got to ride the carousel that hasn't been turned on in 50 YEARS.

DUDE. I know someone who got me an invite to the House on the Rock's Halloween event last year but it was too last minute and the hotel was sold out and I was broke. *sob*

I was thinking seriously about going this year or next if it's still happening though.

I finally picked up Machine of Death, after having it in my wishlist for a while after a webcomic artist I follow on Twitter recommended it.

For something that initially sounded so morbid and depressing, it's a really interesting read~

I've been re-reading The Count of Monte Cristo and just loving the hell out of it. Gankutsuou is great too, but I really enjoy all the Dumas-flavored WTFLOL. You can starve to death in four days but survive an eighty-foot drop with no injuries whatsoever!

Finally have some time to read for leisure! I re-read The Handmaid's Tale. Every time I read it, I can't help but think, "Janice is such a bitch." Haha.

I feel the same way about Sarlet from Gone with the Wind. It really confuses me why so many people like her. Even her writting didn't like her.

I've just started reading Reinventing Project-Based Learning: Your Field Guide to Real-World Projects in the Digital Age... I want to use it in my teaching next year, but I also find reading books like this fun. I guess you can say it's a bit of both for me. XD

Hmm, my Grandma's bought me a copy of "Shantaram". It's not the kind of thing I usually read but I should probably give it a chance....
