Big Sister ; Bioshock Cosplay Help Needed !
I'll be cosplaying as Big Sister for an upcoming convention in March, everything is going as planned, except for the syringes on her forearms.
Here's a reference photo ; for some reason I can't attach/upload it to the post, sorry! ; A; http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pxCdfrxGQb...bioshock_2.jpg I already have the tubes, I'm just having a hard time making the substance on the syringes. I don't want it to be a liquid, and movable within the tubes. But, I want it to be fixed in place, and for the substance to be see-through, transparent. I tried getting paint and thinning it out but that hasn't worked. I was thinking of a liquid plastic, but I know nothing about that, or even where to buy it, and if I can get it in blue & green colour. Any help is very appreciated, thanks! (: |

I imagine you could dye any sort of resin to do what you want. I'd look at what model railroaders do to make fake water- a quick search turned up "Gallery glass" which looks promising because you could just paint the interior of your cylinder without adding extra weight.
Or you could just put jell-o in there. ![]() |

I like the Jello idea :P I would do the resin colored, though I'm disappointed you don't want it to move, that be cool. That being said this is the coolest cosplay ever and I will be slightly stalking you to see the result so please post it

Are you talking about the blue liquid that's under the gauntlet?
Then you just need to get clear casting resin. You can get this at Micheal or Tap. Coloring it is easy. After getting the resin and hardener mixed, then add your dye to the mix and quickly dump it where you need it to be. But it would be cool if it were a liquid. You just need to seal it in a vial and that would be that.
