What are the most overdone anything in skits? Characters, songs, etc. are all involved in this.

Internet meme skits, usually once the gag has allready jumped the shark

Avenue Q songs "The Internet is for Porn" and "If you were Gay"

Anything with the subject being revolved around is shounen ai or other forms of cheap fanservice.

I'm pretty sure "Hare Hare Yukai" is probably one of the most overused songs right now. 8D;

Quite the contrary, I can only find three skits after thorough searching that have used it. If more have happened, I've never heard of them. And NONE have been done in my region.

I've seen a lot of people wanting to do the "Hare Hare Yukai" in a masquerade. Whether or not they've gone through with it, I don't know.

Oh, god, I agree. Yaoi skits are so old and overused.

I'm also really sick of fanservice skits. Yaoi, yuri, straight, I don't care, fanservice skits get old fast.

- Any in-joke.
- ending your skit by running around in a circle, dancing badly, and/or everyone fighting each other. (I've seen so many great skits ruined this way)
- Crossovers that make no sense.

(okay, those aren't so much overdone as just bad skits, but I do see them done way too much)

Seek it out on youtube, under Hare Hare Yukai, or Haruhi Dance, and you'll see how overused it is. I personally went on a little Haruhi spree about a month back, and watched over 20 skits involving that dance.

I searched under every single way it could be written out, even adding skit to the end on a few of them, I seriously only found THREE actuall skits. The rest were just people filming themselves doing the dance or the large Hare Hare Yukai dances that the Jojo's School of Posing put on in Japan.

Avenue Q was definitely the big thing of 2006 that is probably trickling over into this year too. It seems every year has a big thing. I've seen years where everybody was doing Yatta, where everybody was doing Moulin Rouge's Lady Marmalade, and where everybody was doing Chicago's Cell Block Tango. It's so funny how there's always a theme.

I do think Hare Hare Yukai may be the big thing for 2007, considering how many people are planning it.
