I need of some help~please:3

Hello, I'm in need of some make-up advice/wisdom for the following:

1. For a cosplay that I'm going to do in 3 days time. I'm going to be cosplaying as Sakura Kinomoto from Card Captors and I'm in need of help. I'm hopeless when it comes to make-up and don't know what to use/do; should I use a loose mineral powder or a liquid foundation? how do I make myself look younger to suit the character? how do I get it to stay on?blahblahbla~ha.

2. I have very almond shaped eyes (or at least they look like upside-down smiley faces) and I don't know how to make them look bigger/animated, oh and also with my lashes, there raher long and it's a hassle to put eye linner on and stuff without them getting in the way. anytips?

3. Getting rid of under eye bags/dark circles?

4. I've been curious about BB cream (Korean ver.)...what does it do/does it actually work.

I greatly appreciate your help/advice, thankyou^-^

(not sure if this is the right place to post this, I've never posted something like this before>_> so if it's not suppose to be here, please move it ^-^)

1: I actually use a liquid foundation with a light dusting of mineral foundation to set it. I'd say go with the liquid foundation but it's really up to you. To look younger, definitely use blush. Not too much. You just want those youthful pink cheeks. I wouldn't contour too much. Just a swipe of bronzer under your cheekbones and your jawline so your face has dimension in photos. Make sure you do your brows. Don't emphasize your arch. You just want to fill it in. Other than that, I wouldn't do too much with the eyes. A thin line of liquid or gel liner in dark brown on the top lash line, a medium toned brown in the crease and underneath the bottom lash line (going in about a third) should do. You can also highlight the inner corner with a shimmery shadow (you can connect this color with the brown on the lower lash line and blend) and the brow bone with either a light dusting of that same shimmery shadow or a more matte color. Either way it should be a few shades lighter than your natural skin tone and everything should be well blended. Then just some mascara. Keep it natural, pretty much. If you want something on your lips, a clear or sheer pink gloss is all you need.

To keep everything on, I definitely recommend primers. I use a face primer (Smashbox Photo Finish Light) and an eye primer (Urban Decay Primer Potion), and if I'm using lipstick, use a lip primer (Too Faced Lip Insurance). Also be sure to set any cream product you're using. So use a powder to set your foundation and dark eyeshadow over your gel liner if you're using that (Maybelline's gel liner has great staying power which is only extended by setting it, btw). Also be sure to use waterproof stuff if you can. So waterproof mascara and liner. Some people also use setting sprays but I've never used one so I can't really speak on that.

2. It's hard to say exactly what you can do since I don't have that eye shape. But you can try messing with the shape of the liner. Maybe making it slightly thicker in the center and thinner on the inner and outer corners? How do you normally put on liner? Maybe you can hold your brush or pencil or whatever at an angle so it's coming in over your lashes.

3. For dark circles, I'm a fan of correctors. Basically it's an orange or yellow tinted concealer that cancels out the color of dark circles. I usually go with an orange color and it's easy to make so you don't have to go out and buy a specific corrector. Get a matte cream blush or lipstick in a pink color and add it to your concealer. The just lightly apply it to your dark circles and then another light application of your concealer or foundation so it blends nicely into your skin.

I've never tried BB creams so I don't really know what I'm talking about there.

Regarding your second question:
Pixiwoo has a great tutorial here and here for bigger eyes. You can play around with products to see what looks right to you. As for applying eye liner, it's easier to look down into a mirror than straight, as Sam does in the second video. If you're cosplaying a young character, like Sakura, I would stop the liner at the edge of your lash line. That will give you more of a doe-shaped eye, as opposed to the cat-shaped Megan Fox look. See Michelle Phan's anime eyes tutorial for a more natural look. Hope some of this info helps!

I can answer your BB cream question! ^^

Korean BB creams are basically a foundation, primer, sunblock and moisturizer all rolled into one. Some include anti-wrinkling, whitening properties, etc. They are usually applied with your fingers or a brush. The majority of the BB creams are light coverage - similar to say a tinted moisturizer.

Of course some BB creams work better than others but it also depends on what you're looking for. Some will give you that luminous glow while others focus more on covering up blemishes and then some may do both. The most common problem I've heard is the lack of variety in the shades. They are incredibly light and some do cast grey overtones.

Overall I've had a good experience with BB creams. They're easy and pretty much fool proof when you find the right shade. Right now my favorite is Skin79 Super+ Beblesh Balm (Triple Function - Pink Label). It has improved my skin condition - face is smoother and has a nice glow to it. I use it everyday instead of heavy foundation. But in regards to cosplay, they offer a light coverage so you'll probably need more products to get that flawless complexion in photos. Hope I helped somewhat! :3
