Question about Dragoncon center

For anyone familiar with the convention center(s?) where Dragon*Con takes place in Georgia, I had a question.

We'll be doing a villain themed shoot with one idea being that the baddies have replaced a bunch of heroes at the show. We wanted to do some brief shots of the real heroes like stashed and hidden away somewhere.

Does anyone know of a location that'd fit well for showing a larger number of "prisoners" subdued and hidden away?

It's not really a convention center like most cons; it's five host hotels and a couple of additional non-hotel buildings (AmericasMart), plus -unofficially- lots of the surrounding downtown areas and at least a dozen non-host hotels.

How large is a "larger number" of prisoners? Six? Twenty? Two hundred?

I would likely go to the Hilton steps. That's a popular and semi-central location, good for photoshoots, and a great meeting spot. With the right lighting and the right time of day, underneath the steps can be made to look secluded or hidden-away. On the east side there are some stairs going down that could look pretty dungeon-y, especially if you cram your prisoners on the bottom level and shoot down at them from the top. Look at the square between the 1 and 2, just to the left of the stairs marked 1, that's a staircase going down a level.

Be mindful that other very large groups also use the Hilton steps, so try to time your shoot to not overlap any of the very massive group shoots. The DC and Marvel main shoots have several hundred cosplayers, plus all the photographers and friends and handlers and onlookers; the Fallout group shoot had 251 in costume plus another hundred photographers, handlers, etc.

Also, one tiny bit of semantic pedantry: It's Dragon Con, no longer Dragon*Con; they dropped the asterisk a few years ago when the con changed ownership.
