I tried the technique, and unfortunately it just didn't work for me. You could still see my eyebrows through the paint, even when I put multiple layers on, and it just looked really weird up close. The glue made my eyebrow hairs stick together in clumps (no matter how much I tried to smooth them down and then they had a gross-looking texture when I painted them.

I have to agree that it does look kinda weird if you are really close up to someone whose used this method but I love the overall results for photos and such.

My first try with it

hypersapiens, yours turned out looking really nice!

I just tried it out; I have to agree that up close it looks weird and kind of obvious (especially on my eyebrows; mine aren't thick, but very broad and not too shapely), but in photos and from a few feet away it looks quite good.

I love this tutorial. It worked pretty well for me. I'm not sure if anyone's brought this up before, but I decided to try to take it a step further. I took foundation and covered some of the lower hairs in an attempt to sort of shape the eyebrows. Now, I had a headband on, so I didn't have to do it all the way, but I was fairly pleased with the results.

This tutorial will sure help in the future, I have a few few brighter coloured wigs and have never really changed my eyebrow colour. I suppose if I want to take my cosplaying up a level this is the thing I need to do for cons/expo ^_^

This'll be very useful for making my boyfriend's dark bushy eyebrows red!
Although, his eyebrows need plucking beforehand, as they are a bitt too thick for Axel...

I wonder if this would work for elaborate hairstyles I know some people use school glue instead of gel so it might work. Also its possible to use powder when its still slightly sticky for a more natural hue.

Does this work with regular hair? [like, if I wanted to color my hairline.]
