Crossplay makeup male to female - how to look cute & lovely
I have a very feminine body and an androgynous face, crossplay is perfect for me, i'd really love to do it sometimes!
The only thing that worries me concerns make-up. I noticed that if i try to use something else over foundation (like eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, etc) it gives me an aggressive look (like a bi**h)...! So, how am i supposed to get a cute and innocent look? Thank you <3 |

You could try contouring your eyes, like in this tutorial. Although you may want to use softer colors, as this look is very 1960's.

Ref pic of your face would be helpful.
But with no picture to go on, I'd suggest the same thing I suggest for any female make up. This is usually what I do. I'm a girl, but my face is very angular and not very cute. -Foundation and concealer. -Eyeliner: on the top and bottom lash line, not in the waterline; it makes your eyes look small. Also, don't trace the whole lid. That may have been your problem. Trace more of the middle part, if that makes sense. -White liner in the waterline; it makes your eyes look bigger. -Mascara and fake eyelashes: You can get them really cheap online. At least put them on your top lashes. There are some made for bottom lashes, too, though. Put mascara on the top and bottom either way. -Blush. Just smile and apply it on the full part of your cheeks. Make a motion that starts at the front and brushes back. Go for a light color. It'll look more natural. -Lipstick. Something rosy, just a shade or two darker than your lips. -Look into contouring and highlighting. It can help make the nose appear smaller. I like to apply highlight in a line down my nose (makes it look thinner) and on my cheeks just above the blush. But there's lots of tutorials on YouTube. Of course, I'm not a guy. So you'll have to try these things for yourself and see what looks right and what doesn't. Last edited by Amandy-Chan : 05-11-2012 at 03:04 PM. |

By all means check out the various tutorials on YouTube, and if you haven't seen it already, check out the queens on RuPaul's Drag Race. I know, that's not necessarily the look you're going for, but you can glean a lot from them about things like contouring. And heck, it's a fun show! ^_^ Then get yourself a cheap makeup kit and practice practice practice!
