I'm cosplaying as Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3, and I was wondering if anyone out there knew how to make the bow? D; I don't know what material to buy or where to buy it. .___.u

I'm planning Naoto for my next upcoming convention. Though I won't be making it [I would, but I do not have the time, plus my skills are not of that level yet to make pants and a jacket with that many seams.], what is the type of hat he wears called? And where would be a good place to find one?

For those who got the uniform commissioned, where is a good place to do so? I saw some on ebay, reliable?

I'm planning to cosplay Yosuke (most likely the beauty pagent version) so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a wig for him? :3

Scruffy in N9!
I saw someone who did Yosuke and used it on the 'Cosworx wigs in action' thread, and it looks like it would work well.

Here's the link.

Yeah. That was my friend. We did P4 cosplay at Otakon and the wig looked really good for the costume (:

I posted this in another topic and got redirected to this one [/thanks Lady Saya]
Here's what I put:
Hey Guys~
This years Kumoricon I'll be cosplaying as Persona 4's Protagonist: Soiji Seta
This guy:
[Link]
I was wondering is there were any patterns that I could use for his jacket:
[Picture 1]
[Picture 2]

See how the collar is checkered? How can I do that?
Also where can i find a high collared shirt like that?
If there's a pattern that I can make a high collared shirt, can someone tell me which one is the best?
The lines on the jacket and pants...How do I do that?

And one more thing o-o

The symbol on his jacket. Is there anyway I can get that onto the jacket? I can't find the symbol by itself so I'm not exactly sure how to get it on there...Is there some other thing that I can do for it?

This wouldn't be a bad start:
http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5...s_coats&page=4

Obviously don't make it out of denim and you do need to line it. XD

The collar needs to be changed, I believe it's the same kind as a typical boy's school uniform in Japan. I'm not sure where to get snaps/hooks/whatever that they have on there. (It looks like one large female hook on the left and two male hooks [I'm making up terms yay] on the right.)

And for the checkered fabric...

This should work.

The white lines on the pants and jacket are just top-stitching. Thread your machine with white thread and, well, top-stitch along the seams.

For high collared shirts, it doesn't look that high collared so you could just use a regular white collared shirt.

I wouldn't suggest machine top stitching unless you had an industrial that could take very very thick thread.

Since the lines are so thick and spaced out, they probably need to be done by hand. I know if I did stitches that big on my machine, they still wouldn't be thick enough to look proper.

Just my two cents :3

Also, the pattern on the boys' collar isn't checkered but a houndstooth pattern - same as the girls' skirts.

And to contribute, here's a scan from the artbook with a bunch of those tiny details you agonize yourself over getting perfect such as the school logo, Chie's pins, and the glasses. ;)

Holy crud, you're right, they aren't checks at all. O_O; I guess my TV sucks or something cause in game it just looks like checks, but they're clearly a different pattern entirely....but that's a good thing, now the collars don't have to be made out of something like broadcloth...

(Also I have no idea what the heck is going on with the hooks on the collar, I give up. Is that gold thing just a pin? I see two eyes or hooks or something on this image, but they aren't on the other one at all. I...you know what, I hate inconsistencies.)

Going to be cosplaying Konohana Sakuya from Persona 4.

I think I'm going to end up killing myself making it.

I have an issue actually. I'm mostly done my P4 costume, the persona Jiraiya. However, I need some advice.

http://www.popanime.net/megami/wiki/...ge:Jiraiya.jpg

See the yellow thing that crosses the chest? That is my major issue. Back in October, I made it out of cardboard. However, it was an issue to get it on (and through doors xD). I need some simpler ideas on how to get it on.

Or maybe I should make it out of thicker cloth (but then it might not be as rigid)?

A frame with cloth pulled over it? Or some kind of other material, like foam or that stuff couches are made of. xD' And you could have cloth put over that as well, plus it'll be easy to manage and get through doors since they're flexible without damage.
