Eye Ink / Vampfangs "Magnificent" lenses

Natural eye color: Green
Comfort: 0/5
Color: 1/5
Design: 2/5
Quality: 2/5

These contacts were so disappointing I hardly know where to begin. I wish I could return them! They were a very expensive mistake and I hope my review will prevent others from wasting their money.

First and foremost, they are extremely uncomfortable. Even after an overnight soak in fresh solution they felt very "gritty" on the eyes. After five minutes I had to remove them they were so painful and I have worn theatrical contacts for costumes for several years.

Quality control in production is lacking. The color is printed over an opaque white background and there are flecks of this white pigment scattered across the pupil hole! This means that there is a haze in my field of vision while wearing these lenses.

I purchased these hoping for a translucent lens that would blend with my natural color for a more believable look like the lenses used in the Maleficent film. Due to the white background, the color presents very harshly on the eye and looks just awful.

For the price, I expected a *lot* more out of these lenses. This is my second bad purchase from Vampfangs (Stay away from the Night Walker veneers, too!) and is very likely my last.

Freshlook ColorBlends Brilliant Blue

Personal ratings:
- Color: A+
These lenses are a nice sapphire/royal blue shade on my dark eyes. They are a bit brighter, as you can see, with camera flash. I feel that these lenses look pretty close to the stock image so there was some truth in advertising.

- Comfort: A+
Hands down, these are probably the most comfortable colored lenses I have worn in a long time. The higher water content [55%] makes a huge difference. My eyes did not get dry or irritated at all. I did start out the day using drops as is my habit, but I did not need to reapply which was a pleasant surprise.

- Overall: A+ for these.
Color-wise, these pack a noticeable color punch [a rich royal/sapphire blue shade over my eyes] while delivering superior comfort. This line has been on the market for a while and is a tried and true choice for more "natural" colors and patterns! I definitely recommend this line if the colors suit your needs or preferences.

P.S. These are pretty much in every optometrist's arsenal and are really easy to track down online so check around for pricing etc.

I love the idea of this thread and was wondering if I could borrow from this to create a version for light eyed people?

Here's my two cents on some contacts I tried

Contact lenses: Soleko Queen's Trilogy Blue
Natural Eye Color: Dark green
Comfort: 5/5
Color: 5/5
Design: 5/5
Quality: 5/5

Oh my God can I even tell you how much I loved these lenses, they were extremely comfortable and the change was visible as hell <3 too bad they were available just for monthly disposal and had to get new ones.

Contact lenses: Auva Vision Dark Dream Quartz Grey
Natural Eye Color: Dark green
Comfort: 3/5
Color: 4/5
Design: 5/5
Quality: 4/5

These lenses have an issue, which is they tend to "cling" on my lower lid. Maybe it's because I have astigmatism and my cornea is uneven, so keep that in mind if you buy these. Plus, even though the color is visible, I may not be crazy over grey lenses so I'm not a huge fan of them.

Contact lenses: ColourVue White mesh lenses
Natural Eye Color: Dark green
Comfort: 1/5
Color: 5/5
Design: 5/5
Quality: 5/5

Boi, these lenses are so beautiful but uncomfortable as f*ck. I can't stand wearing them for more than 4 hours, my eyes get tired because you will be blind as a bat in daylight if you wear these outdoors. I wore them at a con, I had a stage performance, I'm also a smoker, and my eyes were dying even though I used a crapton of eyedrops. They're not comfortable at all. They're a bitch to wear, trust me.
