Male Japanese Uniform Pattern

A large group of friends and I are planning on making some Persona 4 cosplays for Anime Expo, but we haven't had much luck turning up a pattern. It looks like the typical male Japanese-style uniform.

So yeah, any suggestions would be appreciated. >.<;;

Your link isn't working. But if it's a gakuran, I remember seeing a lot of old threads about them and people have suggested American Civil War uniform patterns. You can always use the search function for specific recommendations but at least that's a starting point.

Ah. Shoot. You're right! It wasn't working. I picked a different one now.

But yes, it is a gakuran. I've had civil war uniform patterns suggested, and priest patterns. Both of those look like they would work. The problem is I haven't found anywhere I can actually buy the patterns. Every pattern I've found is out of print. And our group varies in size quite a bit, so I'll probably need more than one of the same pattern in different sizes. -___-

Butterick has the priest cassock pattern all the time, they've never put it out of print. Now, I'll grant not every store that carries patterns keeps it stocked all the time, but it is still in print.

McCall's has a civil war uniform pattern that is pretty good for Persona, its what I've planned to use. As far as I'm aware, that pattern isn't out of print, you have to look for it in the costumes section of the pattern book, the number is 4745

If you can't find the patterns at your local fabric stores, I might suggest buying a printable pattern from McCalls. I've never personally used them, but I know people who have used them in a pinch. Its a bit of a hassle, but its a way to instantaneously get your pattern if time is running low
