Here's my mask. When cracks appeared before drying, its an easy enough fix. Just dab your fingers in water and smooth over the surface until the crack disappears. After, you can use spackle to go over the little cracks and its pretty smooth. Also, 2 days instead of 1 day for drying seems better. When I was cutting away excess after 1 day, the middle was still moist. Two days made it sturdier.
After the two day period came i added the impressions for the mouth and eye ridges with a wooden clay utinsel.

As a finishing touch, spray glaze makes a nice gloss surface.

Now to finish the boar mask Thanks for the tutorial Nami!

A wonderful tutorial, I just had to try it myself. However, I am quite in the belief that I am one of the unluckiest people in the world. I swear I turn away from it for a little less than an hour and everything starts going wrong! >_<;; I had wet it to smooth out a few mending lines, and I guess I left it too wet and it started splitting really bad on one side, and little round holes appeared at the top (almost like someone poked at it with a pen or something, but I'm the only one in the house, so nothing's touched it).

Fortunately, I still have to go over it with a thick glaze to smooth it out (and make it shiney of course! :P ), so I'll use that as an oppurtunity for last minute filling of holes and cracks. Hopefully that'll work, and I won't end up getting frustrated and throwing it out the window...

Where do you get the plain plastic base masks? I've been looking but I can't find them. Would Party City have them?

It'll crack alot if you put too much water on it, yeah. Thats because the model magic inside is drying at a different rate then the model magic on the surface. Use in moderation D:

I got mine at Hobby Lobby in the Arts & Crafts area. I'm sure a costume/halloween store would have one similar to the on I used. C: I hope you find one!!
