Heres one that will get ya

are you considered crossdressing, if the character you are dressing up like is already a crossdresser?

I am dressing as Nuriko, from FY, but before we find out that she is a he, so would that be considered crossdressing, if in fact that in the begining we all thought that he was a she? And since I am a girl, and he is a girl... in the beginning, is that considered crossdressing?

This is a constant agrugument that I have with my friends all the time, cause it is like, it can work both ways. Its so funny.
Crossdressing as a crossdresser is the life of COD!!

o_O This was already in more than one thread. ^_^; Cosplaying Nuriko is "crossplaying" if you are female. There's one thread about the Strawberry Eggs crossdresser, and another thread about Kuja from FFIX still crossplaying for girls. x_x

Yeah, what Michi said.

Crossplay = cosplay a character of different gender than yourself.
Crossdress = wear clothing that "belongs" to a different gender than yourself.

If the character is biologically male and you are biologically female, it's crossplay no matter whether Nuriko himself is a crossdresser or not. You are crossplaying, and the character is crossdressing. I guess you are not yourself crossdressing if you are a girl and are wearing "girls clothes", but as Nuriko you are at least PLAYING a crossdresser.

The flip side is: if you (female) are wearing "guy's clothes" while playing either a female or a male character, technically YOU are crossdressing, whether or not you are crossplaying.

*has a daughter who wants to crossplay Nuriko*

Heh, it just means you want to crossplay a crossdresser, since Nuriko never was female, whether or not we knew it or not at the beginning.
