Name of Commissioner: Errido, Milzarr.
Website: http://www.cosplay.com/member/242473/, http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=286647.
Character commissioned: Holy Roman Empire Cosplay. (Cape, Robe, Hat, Jewelry details.)
Series: Hetalia.
Links to pictures of your commissioned item: http://s1063.photobucket.com/albums/...arr%20Cosplay/
Timeline: Less than a month! Very fast!
Describe your Experience. I can only speak HIGHLY about the seller! We began discussing the commission less than a month ago. We discussed from quotes, to fabrics, to what EXACTLY I wanted made and how did I wanted it made. I was very pleased by the way of communication and the quick replies. Before the item was shipped and before I paid the final half of the payment, Errido sent me not one, not two, not three, but FOUR QUALITY pictures of the commissioned cosplay. Goes the extra mile and is friendly, will not abandon you! There was a small situation with customs, but this is not their fault, nor do I blame them whatsoever, all the contrary, they HELPED me through it. Customs is quite strict when having items shipped from overseas, but this turned out to be a PROS, because it showed me just how professional and how patient the commissioner is. Errido not only replied to my panicky e-mails immediately and politely, but when I received a notification telling me that my package needed a Proforma Invoice, Errido helped me through and managed to retrieve the missing information that we needed for my package to be cleared. Errido e-mailed every day and got my package cleared. The communication was superb, this commissioner will NOT let you hanging. Even after they have shipped the item and you have paid them, they do not abandon you, Errido stood beside me and helped me. The box arrived and it was well protected, it had layers over layers and kept the cosplay safe. The measurements were taken well and it fits like a glove! I am definitely working with them again and for the long run, I recommend Errido to everyone wanting a professional commissioner and a high-quality cosplay. They are RESPONSIBLE, PROFESSIONAl, FAST, and PATIENT. Errido is very kind, extremely helpful, and incredibly professional. I am VERY PLEASED. WILL ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!

Pros: Professional, goes the extra mile, knows the craft, works quickly, and REPLIES quickly too! Sends a lot of pictures, customer service is top notch!

Cons: NONE.

Name of merchant: Wildcat Wigs

Website: http://stores.ebay.com/WILDCAT-WIGS or http://wildcatwigs.com/ (the rest of this review applies only to their eBay storefront as I have no experience with the domain site)

Item purchased (please include quantity): One "Pauline" wig in color 24H613, twelve (two orders of six) beige net wig caps

Timeline (how long your order took to process): ordered June 24, received June 27

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments. I have used this merchant on at least two occasions before (even left a review for them for one of those occassions). As I mentioned then, this seller is located in Pennsylvania, USA (thus no worries about customs and whatnot for those of us in the US of A) and ships very quickly. I haven't had a bad experience yet. However, the following should be noted:
  • It's literally only one guy, and he does sometimes go on vacation or close for inventory. Not very often, but it does still happen.
  • Some wigs are listed individually (like so- yes this is the wig I bought), others with more of its kind, usually with "COLOR CHOICE" in the description (like so).
  • Wigs are not sorted by length or color. However there is a search box that only searches within the "store" instead of throughout eBay.
  • The "Theatre & Costume Fun Wigs" are not cheap "Halloween"/"Party City" wigs. Among others, the "Little Women II" wig (a.k.a. Amphigory's "Innocent") is listed there.
  • Probably more of an eBay thing, but with this most recent order only the wig was marked as "shipped" and given a tracking number even thought I ordered everything all at once thanks to eBay's recently-implemented cart system. However, all items were indeed in the same box when it arrived.
Also, I know from the business card included in my last order that he has his own website, but like I said I've never actually used it. It does appear to be slightly better organized, though.

Name of merchant: epiccosplay

Website: www.epiccosplay.com

Item purchased (please include quantity): http://www.epiccosplay.com/12-silver...splay-wig.html

Timeline (how long your order took to process): Ordered June 24, shipped June 25, received June 27

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: I decided to overlook my previous experience with Epic Cosplay (I had to remind them to send the extensions) when I saw they were running a 20% off sale. I placed the order on the 24th, received confirmation that it was shipped on the 25th, and showed up in my mailbox on the 27th. The wig is nice and soft and I look forward to wearing it

Character commissioned and series/video game: Gown and wig, Celes Chere Opera Costume from Final Fantasy 6
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: None available yet.

Timeline: First contacted her in the second week of March, paid for the dress on March 20. Added the wig commission in mid-April. Everything was finished and mailed out in eary June, well before the hard deadline of sometime in July.

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments. Very happy with the results on both the gown and the wig, both of which are very well done and consistent with my request. Erisaka was responsive and patient with my questions up front was clear on what she was thinking in terms of how to do this project. Would recommend her and commission from her again.

Name of merchant: We Love Colors

Website: http://www.welovecolors.com/

Item purchased (please include quantity): Transaction A: two pairs of "plus size Nylon/Lycra tights"- one light pink, one lilac; two "plus sized white striped tights"- one pastel mint/white, one sky blue/white. Transaction B: three pairs of "plus size Nylon/Lycra tights" in light tan.

Timeline (how long your order took to process): A: ordered May 10, received May 16; B: ordered June 25, received June 29

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments. Can't believe there isn't a review for them up already. In any case, "transaction A" was actually not the first time I ordered from them (ordered a pair of navy/white striped tights for one of my Katsucon 2011 costumes before, and the light pink ones in this order were to replace a pair I'd misplaced). However, I was indeed going by that prior experience when I decided to make that purchase, and the experience from that for the subsequent one. Great selection, especially for (ahem) bigger girls. Everything comes in every color they offer- yes, you can combine any of their colors with black or white for their striped tights. Shipping/turnaround time was decent.
Oh yes, don't let the name fool you. While they are known for their veritable rainbow of colored tights, they do still have common pantyhose colors, too (for example, "light tan" being what other companies might call "nude", and there are two shades of brown). Great for those who prefer something more comfortable and durable (and more opaque) than standard nylons. I suppose my only real gripe is that I wish they had more in the way of lurex/glitter/sparkly tights.

Timeline: December 2010-February 2011

Describe your Experience:

I was browsing through and I saw that there were only a few reviews for FM-Anime, so I thought I'd contribute. ^^

I ordered the cosplay near the end of December of 2010. They only take metric measurements, so if you decide to order from them, use Google calculator (I've heard bad things about accidentally making incorrect measurements and getting a costume that doesn't fit right). I had never ordered from them before, but their products looked good and they claimed to not use stock photos. The prices were also very good at a glance, but I should offer a warning. I don't know about other countries, but if you get it shipped to America, shipping is pretty costly! For the costume + wig, the shipping came out to about $50.00. I still ordered it though, and I'm sure glad I did!

Honestly, the shipping fee is my only complaint, but I can hardly complain about it since I chose to pay that much and it was well worth it in the end (their costume prices are very reasonable). I've read one person's review and they complained about the 2-3 wait time for the costume, but this didn't bother me at all. I asked and they told me in advance that it would take at least 2 months to get my cosplay (I ended up getting it just a few days after the two month mark), so there was no surprise by the long wait. Based on reviews on the website and the look of product in the picture, I had no reason to contact them, though I can still say that they have good communication. I say this because not long ago I was considering commissioning a cosplay from them that was not yet in their catalog, and within three days of sending them pictures of the outfit I wanted, they responded with a price and a list of materials that would be used. For no reason other than my low finances at the time I ended up not purchasing the outfit, but I've noticed they are fairly quick to respond to email.

As mentioned before, I received the package in late February of 2011, and I was beyond satisfied with what I received. The cosplay was exactly what they said it would be, and it matched the picture perfectly. The workmanship is very proffessional and the materials are comfortable and great quality. I tried on the costume and was surprised by just how perfectly the costume fit (I'm the type of person who is always paranoid that my cosplay won't fit right somewhere XD). I was a bit skeptical about the petticoat I received, as it was very short and looked like a tutu, but I was once again surprised as I tried it on and saw that it worked very well. It wouldn't work for long skirts of course, but for my knee-length dress, it lifted the dress and apron just right!

As for the wig, it was just as good of quality. The wig was soft and just the right color, and the only complaint (and it's a very minor complaint) I have on the wig is that I had to reinforce Italy's curl with some hair gel, but other than that it was great. The style was just as I expected it, the curl was firmly on the wig (it wiggles a bit as if it were natural hair, but it's at no risk of deattaching from the wig), and I was very pleased overall.

Final Grade: A+ The price is reasonable (even with shipping), the quality is fantastic, and I would easily reccommend FM-Anime to anyone looking to buy or commission a cosplay.

Name of Commissioner: AnnaG, Anna Glowacki.
Website: anna@annagcostumes.com
Character commissioned: Tapion Costume. (Scarf, Gloves, Suit, Body suit)
Series: DragonBallZ
Links to pictures of your commissioned item: (I will post pictures tomorrow, since I don't have my camera with me at the moment.)
Timeline: Less than a month! Very fast!

Describe your Experience: Anna actually contacted me after reading about my difficult experience with finding a good and professional commissioner, she was one of the first people to contact me. Not only did she show concern of what I'd gone through, but she also worked with me and provided me with not only her contact information (A very professional thing to do and something I'll always be grateful for!) but also making a contract and establishing a due date that met up with my expectations and a payment method. She didn't only meet them, she surpassed them! Anna is a very professional and a very dedicated seamstress! She has a background from theater costuming and she's now expanding herself into the cosplay craft. Like another commissioner here stated, she always kept me up to date on the progress, let me know if any inconveniences happened. I recommend her to anyone wanting to work with a professional and a serious seamstress. Her pricing is reasonable, she's very friendly and a sweetheart to work with, and she met with the due date!

Pros: Met with the due date, worked quickly, excellent communication, speedy replies, her background as a theater costumer is something to highly consider, she's VERY professional, knows her craft, and offers payment methods. She also gives you every type of contact information in her power available and a contract, she sends pictures before the final payment is done, and is a sweetheart to work with! VERY polite, very kind. I am not only recommending her to everyone wanting to work with a professional, but I'm also commissioning her for another cosplay! This is the commissioner to go to for detailed and professional costumes and friendly and professional communication!

Cons: 0, NONE.

Character commissioned and series/video game (please include if this was the entire costume, just a jacket, prop, accessory, wig, etc.):Original Kimono Style/Reproduction
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item:http://s47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...play%20Kimono/
Timeline (how long your order took to process): about 2~3 months off and on
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments. Lizzy is amazing, she helped me design it, pick the colors and type of fabrics. She gave me helpful suggestions, advise, and anything I could need. The price was more then fair ($186 or so). I love the costume dearly, it's a size to big, but it's my fault on my measurements. She even made the belt just the way I wanted it! Communication was pretty darn good, there were sometimes she got busy, but she always got back to me and kept me informed. Pictures were also sent to me as things were finished. The collar fabric was expensive so she sent me the left over too! She even offered to alter the dress to fit me. I'd recommend her any day, she also does wigs.

Website/Gallery: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Monostash?ref=seller_info

Character Commissioned: Soarin Wonderbolts uniform (hoodie)

Series: My Little Pony

Link to Pics: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...l =d516643594

Timeline: 10 weeks (from payment to delivery)

Experience: Amazing work, she did warn me it would take longer than usual due to being backed up on commissions, In our discussions I had her do a replica to the actual uniform, she did tell me it would cost a little bit more due to the extra work which didn't bother me at all. When it showed up I was uber excited, albeit it was 100+ degrees out but I had to try it on! Its so comfy, the fleece is uber soft and comfy. She also threw in a couple of her keychains and a Celestia sticker . Totally would buy more stuff from her agian

Timeline: About one month from first contact to receiving the item in the mail.
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: No real cons I can think of. The price was good and the end result is just perfect and exactly what I wanted. In the picture linked, it has words painted on it, this was due to some confusion about a reference picture I sent. I pointed it out to her and she fixed it. So yeah, a great commission experience =D Someone I will likely contact again for future projects!!!

Character commissioned and series/video game: Blue Rose, Tiger and Bunny. Just commissioned the earrings.
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://thecartdriver.com/ranking-the...nny/blue-rose/
Timeline: Contacted 2 months ahead of time. Was told would be finished by June 15th (deadline given)
Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: At first she was really responsive and seemed enthusiastic about the project. I contacted her via e-mail around the 15th of May and she said she was nearly finished. After this, all contact stopped. Tried several times to reach her via e-mail and cosplay.com. She never responded, did not refund my money, and never got into contact with me about what happened. I had to quickly make my own earrings days before my con when I realized she was flaking on me. They were not that great, but it was better than nothing. To this day she has never responded to my messages though she has indeed logged onto cosplay.com. Stay away from this seller at all costs. She will most likely run off with your money.

Name of Commissioner: Hello_Nessy, Nessy Padilla
Website/C.com gallery: http://hello-nessy.webs.com/apps/photos/
Character commissioned and series/video game: Axel's Weapons and a Riku Keyblade.
Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: (Never received the item.)
Timeline (how long your order took to process): Over four months. NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM.
Describe your Experience. I contacted her around April 5 asking her for quotes on some props after seeing her website and finding her advertisement on Cosplay.com's Marketplace. She replied and after discussing quotes, she seemed very eager to work on the project and asked for measurements and all, I went to commission her for two props. One month passed, May came by, so did June, and not a single update. On June 2nd I e-mailed her giving her an ultimatum and telling her that I would file a complaint with Paypal if she did not reply and if she did not update me. I received an e-mail from her older sister on June 5th, using her own e-mail, apparently she had been...stampeded, and was recovering from the horrible accident at the moment.

Said e-mail:
Quote:
"Good Morning Ma'am/Sir,

My name is Ira, I'm Inez's sister, She own Hello Nessy Cosplay Shop. I just wanted to ask what is your costume, name of character, from what show & a brief description how its supposed to look like?
I'm sorry for this late reply and I'm really sorry to inform you that my sister had been in a stampede accident, she just recovered last week and she informed me about costume orders, my aunt who is a seamstress had brought several cosplay costumes in our house and there are also some props like weapons and accessories, if Im not wrong, I believe your costume is one of those.
Also my sister told me for those who've missed their deadlines, kindly inform me with your reply as she wants to give compensation for those by shouldering the shipping fee of the package. For those who she missed deadlines with we want to apologize as what we encountered is unexpected, We're hoping for your kind consideration, If your deadline is not yet missed & will be coming soon, please do let me know as well so I can process shipping as soon as possible. Thank you very much and may God bless you always!

Regards,
Ira Marie Padilla"
I was told that I would be contacted in a few weeks, because apparently there was a prop in their house, but they needed to know from who it was. So in a week or so I would have a reply from then and it will be shipped. After this, June came and went and to this day, even after sending her multiple e-mails, she has not contacted, nor sent me any props.

Final Grade: F---- (AVOID HER!)
