I was very good friends with the head campaing girl who started this-- to bring SILVER ASH to Otakon in 2003! I lost contact with her a while back BUT I do know that Silver Ash WILL be touring the US east coast (not sure about the west coast) for a while.

I can get dates and wheres if anyone likes but the story is that Silver Ash may be attending Otakon 03 to give a concert for all the Jrock fans.

Since Silver Ash really is the first sort of Chinese Visual Rock band, itd be pretty interesting to see them! So the word is out, and support is still needed.

If anyone has any questions or comments feel free to ask and I can see what i can answer.

That is sooooo cool. I heard about Silver Ash playing at two cons but I forgot which ones. Too bad I can't make it to the east coast, but if they come over to Cali, I would definetly come and support them. Sooo coool!!! ^-^

I'm pretty sure they're coming to Shoujocon too. I'll be able to see them! ^^ If I like them enough, I'll probably end up buying tickets to one of their east coast concerts if they're not too far away. =D

yeah~i really wish they would come...i know they're playing shoujocon...and baaf i think. but the thing is, apparently they're going to be playing in baltimore during the summer so yeah...must find out.......(or save enough money for shoujocon)

I know for sure that they will be playing in Orlando Florida as well. Thats only two hours away from me So I will most likely save up to go (good thing I got that fulltime job!) I can list dates for that as well.... AND I would like to meet up with other forum goers that can make the Orlando and Otakon03 concerts if possible!

Here is to clear everything up so people dont get the wrong ideas or rumors or anything.

Silver Ash will be arriving in the United States at the end of July their first show will be at 11 PM (I think, to double check , please go to Anime Florida Orlando (AFO) Official site) which is in August
THe week after AFO Silver ash will be in Baltimore, and MAY be SITTING for a Jrock Panel hosted by Krys (Not Krystal Y.) and ECindery (layla) (Meaning the panel is really not dedicated to them, but they will be considered minor "panel guests")

After that, Silver Ash will be in New Jersey for Shojocon , and there they will have another show.

Current status with a third Venue is Big Apple Anime Fest (BAAF) In New York City, is underway and going through negotiations.

Silver Ash and staff is hoping for a great turnout and support, the boys have worked extremely hard to perfect their music and write new songs (Yes they're acutally writing new songs for the US, I think maybe one or two with english) ^^b

anyways, I hope people spread the news about AFO and Shojocon (for now)
and lets hope whoever goes will enjoy the show, and the boys will enjoy the crowd ^^b

one more thing. other shows will be in their destined cities, these are the only conventions confirmed/negotiating.

other venues are possibilities and will be announced at a later moment ^_^ I hope i helped a bit to clear things up.

I might as well add my two cents in to this as well. Concerning Silver Ash at Otakon.. Die-chan is correct, accept they are confirmed as panelists for the panel, and so far that is set in stone. As to if they will be playing something at Otakon, that's where it gets sorta sketchy. I personally gave my approval for them to be able to an acoustic live after the paenl, but that would only be for people attending the panel, for the most part. A.k.a. it would not be an entirely seperate event. Even I, myself am not sure of the status of this. (god, and I'm running the panel? x.x; this.. just isn't good) To my knowledge it has been O.K.'ed and when it is closer to the con you'll be able to find out more info on Otakon's website. They -are- however panelists for the panel. ^^;; They -should- be playing an acoustic live after the panel though, since I gave it the okay. Just remember that it is not a Silver Ash panel, but a visual kei and japanese rock panel, so no asking them "yeah.. so Ling what is your favorite ice cream flavor?". So that's the up to the minute story about Silver Ash at Otakon.
(Oh, and Die-chan you left out Lauren, who is also hosting the panel with Krys and I..not that it's important, but.. ^^;)
