Glomping or "War" Stories. (If you don't know what I mean by war stories Ex: Story of a cut, bruise, broken bone, etc. You got at AD)
I thought that maybe there should be a thread for that. Or maybe if that happened to your friend. I personally think of these stories some what juicy

I was actually pleasantly surprised with how many people knew who Kijin was (or had a vague idea...got a lot of "oh, hey you're like...a shikigami from Yami no Matsuei...one of the dragons or something" XD). More surprised by some of the glomps....which were pretty unavoidable given that I was wearing like 13 yards of fabric. And they usually occurred in the dealer's room, meaning at least one person was standing on the trailing fabric.

So I was basically helpless against the fangirl attacks.

...not that there's really anyway to avoid them, generally. ^.^;

One time I was looking through posters or something near one of the exits of the dealer's room and I hear "Oh my God!" from the hallway. It was all the warning I was given. XD Didn't have any real bodily injuries, though.

Same here except I was in the hall and someone said "Prepare Yourself"

I got a half glomp when I was Reno. XD Some girl ran up behind me, sorta jumped on me then jumped away. And a moment of awkwardness ensued. I think she thought I was someone else. XD

How about the guy who fell through the glass doors to the lobby entrance on Sunday... did anyone see that?!

I didn't see it, but I heard it. >< I was standing around waiting for my ride back to Iowa when I heard the glass breaking. Luckily staff members were around to keep people from stepping in the shards.

Glomping/war stories/battle scars...

-I was hanging out in the upper lobby waiting to see if any Furuba cosplayers would show up... some people were trying to figure out how to put the badges on. "Hey, do you know how to - oh my gosh! Akito! Can I hug you?"

-I got flying tackle glomped from behind by Hojo as I was walking in the door. xDD

-I burned myself on the iron when I was sewing my costume, and it blistered. I accidentally lanced it when I was drawing on Saturday night. >_<

-I tripped on my robes numerous times as I was coming up the stairs. I was actually kind of sad no one got a picture... ^^; Akito is so clumsy ;P

This one guy glomped me twice on Saturday while I was Kon. It really caught me off guard. XD

A lot of people also stepped on my tail, too. It caused me to almost trip on several occasions.

That wasn't from a glomp. They had gotten VERY little sleep over the weekend and bent down to pick up a bill and as they came back up they started to go back into the hotel through what they thought was the open door but instead went through the glass window.

You were Akito? Ahh! I wanted to take your picture! The only time I saw you was in the Artists' Alley, but I was on the phone with a friend and it would be very rude to ask you for a photo while I was on the phone...

The only experience I had with glomping this year was someone yelling "permission to glomp!" She had enough room for a running start.

Aww, thank you so much! I completely understand - people called me while I was talking to potential customers. xDD It was kinda awkward. Also, your Urahara is LOVE.

It makes me very happy when people ask for glomps. My costumes tend to be very long and flowing, so there's always a risk of something ripping. As for walking into glass doors... I've done that before. >_>;

There was an FMA cosplayer (mind's going blank, she's from the manga...) that asked me for a picture when I was on the phone with my brother.

This happened last night. (It involves the con a little bit) Okay so my first Aeris bracelet was destroyed. I caught my mom's cat with the other one last. I spanked him and grabbed the bracelet. My hands were full and he bit me. I started walking backwards. (Well for one I couldn't kick him in fear I would slip and hurt myself. I also couldn't hit him (Hands were full) and he was coming at me again. (He is a big cat) I fell backwards and my shorts slid up and I sat on the heater. I got up in a hurry. I have no major burns. I just have a really red mark and it hurts. I almost cried. I started tearing up. It is starting to turn normal skin for me now. I am so mad at that cat.

Two days later it doesn't hurt anymore

Mine: Girl looked at me crossplaying as Iruka and just says: "...I haven't glomped you yet! -glomp-" That was one, I got a kiss on the cheek from another girl, still in Iruka (such a pimp XD). I think that was it, no major injuries but...

My poor buddy: It was his first time walking around in geta and a girl just flies into him, he nearly biffed it before someone caught him.

My glomping story is that when I was in my Haku dragon costume, I came across a Heartless in the hallway, we had a little play fight scene that ended in me kinda tackleing him to the ground with a huggle. Hehe...I really wish I could find pictures of that n_n; good times.

Wow! That sounds dangerous!!! *shivers at the thought of being glomped* Not that I don't enjoying hugging. xD LOL I just hope I have pleasant glomping moments and not really crazy ones. :3 As well that goes for my siblings who I'll be dragging along next year. x3
